Well 2 things
1. I have school.
2. My computer sucks/ my birthday was 2 months ago and I was told I was going to get a computer but sadly I won't because now my parents say school.
3. I want to test my theory if no computer really helps in school.

I won't be back for a long long time sadly. Estimated 4, 5 maybe 6 months.

So I sadly take my leave as I will not turn on my computer or try not to.

I'm dearly sorry that I can now not help the IDF army community mod team .

You can play all you want, all the matters in school are the grades you get at the end of the year, not a well done sticker on your forehead everyday.

Use PR as a reward for doing your work. I was the worst procrastinator in school and seldom did my homework on time (I wasn't stupid, I just went through high school as the internet was emerging ), but nowadays rewarding any kind of work I need to do with some game time works for me. It means I don't have to feel guilty and can relax knowing I didn't put anything off .

Tesher, I actually think it's a good idea for the time being. Many times, I have to just stop playing games all together as a little bit here and there just makes me think about them in between. When I stop completely (knowing it won't be forever), my brain stops obsessing about them and tends to leave room for other things. It seems to help when I start playing again to help my brain concentrate on other things when I'm not playing.

Do you go to college?

Cause no computer = GAME OVER. Shit, I mean you're dead in every aspect of life. First off, communication through IMs is essential at college. You can be like "yo sup, oh you're bored wanna chill." Not to mention all the other stuff you can do. And talk to chicks.

And on the work side, COMPUTERS ARE STILL ESSENTIAL. I guess you can go to the library and computer lab, but that's a pain. Note that I sailed by(2.5 overall GPA lol) college doing minimum work. But then again the school I went to was a hard grader(along with grade deflation). This is because I can read summaries, research other articles, etc. in a very short amount of time. Plus, listening to music while writing essays is nice too.

And finally, have fun looking at stills of pr0n.

But good luck man, it's hard. Reminds me of the times I'd come home on some sort of vacation with no computer. Sure watched a lot of TV. Even if I had other stuff to do.

I think he's going about it the wrong way. What he needs to do is not stop gaming, but realize that there are at least 8 hours during the night where all you are doing is sleeping. If you learn to take advantage of this time, there are only benefits. 1. You are too tired to get upset at things 2. You are so tired classes just rush by. 3. When it comes time for PR, you arent tired due to your friendly neighbor Adrenaline 4. Sleep is such a waste of time anyway 5. You'll technically live roughly 1/3 longer than any one you know.

Ok people I just came to see what you posted right now. Well I'll tell you about why. Well I have a 5 year old computer right now. Can't run ****. My birthday was july 21 and I told my dad I wanted a computer before my birthday. he said ok and I'll look for one. Try finding one if you can. So I did all that stuff and he just puts alot of money in my bank acount which is pointless because I can't use it( for college. Well school started and I asked when I would be getting a computer. He said I'm not getting you a new computer concentrate on school not games. Well I can't play games on this computer.. Then the second thing is I want to do good in school to but I keep getting sidetracked because me and friends don't pay attention in class. I really wanted a new comp but I didn't get one. There is also school. What should I do. I can't take this anymore. Please give me ideas. This is my first year of high school.

Well here's dramatic irony for you, I spent pretty much all my time up to exams playing PR and done pretty much F all and somehow managed to get all top grades so I'm off to Uni. pretty soon with loads of time to burn between.

However, my PC is fucked and I'm confined to the forums until it is fixed, lol...

It is pretty weird how addicting games are though, half the time when my girlfriend stayed over I found myself getting up at 3 in the morning when she's asleep. just in time for some amazing TG server games.

Um advice please? What should I do about a computer now? And what should I do about school I have until october 9th. Thats when the semester ends. I really want crysis and hl2 orange box but this comp can't run any of it. I really hate my birthday because it's at the end of summer =(.
