bump shooting

hi guyz i think u should have bump shooting in the game cuz it is better then usin those semi auto POSes.

oh and btw the sks sounds nothing like it realy does. also the bolt is too wide.

I know the current sound isn't that great but it usually helps when you state how you know what it really sounds like. Saying this is wrong and that is wrong with no explanation isn't very good input...

As for bump firing, it's a total gimmick that would never be used in combat.

Dumbest....suggestion.....ever.

Never even heard of that until now. Its completely and totally pointless. For those of you that want to see how useless it is just go google it or youtube it. Not to mention its one of the worst things you can do to your rifle.

Oh and by the way, bump shooting requires a semi-auto weapon, so we'd still need them.

it puts a lot of stress on the parts of the gun. sks is pretty tough though.

the only reason bump shooting exists is to circumvent laws on full automatic weapons, adding a cheap way to shoot full auto on non full auto weapon..

there is no reason you would ever want to bump fire a modern combat service rifle (what we have modeled in game)

not too practical of a suggestion

So does scarface (another forum member) He told me the SKS sound during the open beta was spot on but everybody else said it sounded like a starwars gun. Maybe I'll change it back or maybe I'll try grab one when I go on the recording shoot I've been planning for a while.

Isn't bump shooting all about the sound ?
I have seen the videos and it doesn't look like you could hit anything at all by doing that so why would you want it in the game ?

Ok,I did some research and here is what I could find out about bump shooting: You put a finger (preferably your thumb) through the trgger guard in front of the trigger. Then you hook your belt into something static, like your belt loop or something.
then your pull your weapon forward so it will fire and keep up the pull. The recoil will push the weapon back so that the trigger will go back to his original position until the force applied by the pull brings it up forward again,triggering another shot.
Basically this allows for fast firing with a semi-auto gun, also your aim is most likely simply nonexistant.
Also, doing this with a weapon like the M-16 will most likely kill it in a few magazines.

Thanks for the explanation as I had no idea what it was. Now that I know what bump shooting is I think we should add it for sure. Imagine sliding down a fast rope bump shooting the **** out of the enemy, so sweet.
