You are working on python in 0.61 patch?

Post by wujj123456 »

I've suggested this before. See the links below:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/t25317.html

I just read your update and found that you are tweaking python. Is it possible to do what I've mentioned before in 0.61? Our server has been facing a sharp decrease of players recently. Members complain that language is a problem. However, those who know English or who have read the translated wiki carefully still love this game very much.
I want to get those missing players back ASAP. My chinese wiki is not enough. I think patch 0.61 would be a good chance if it could make PR support chinese perfectly.

I am ready to do the translation, devs. :-o
You can just send the files to be translated to ...

hummm I dont see quite why u need the python files? cant u just edit the utxt files and send them to us when they are done and we can easily put them in the new patch.

can find them here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\localization\chinese

just open them with notepad and translate away.

I'm not requesting python files..........................
Those important messages such as QM & HQ message are defined in python currently. However, these are so important for gameplay, especially for newbies. And it is impossible to write any Chinese characters into python.
So we need your help. Only when you define HQ, QM and other ingame directions in .utxt can we make a perfect Chinese version.
If you have done this, there must be a new .utxt in 0.61. I mean that you send it to me, and I translate it.

The translation of pr.utxt in PR 0.6 has already done by our members. If you need it, I can send it to you tomorrow. It may need a thorough check before I send it to you.

Send us the .utxt files as then they will be included in the installer then u wont need to install them over the installation helping more chinese users :)

as for the python files, i think there is only a english version ill bring it up with db next time i see him to see if there is any chance to include a chinese version.

Your suggestion was noted, and we included a way to translate all python messages in the upcoming patch.

All python messages are defined in the localization/language/pr.utxt files and you can change all of them in your server easily. ;)

dbzao, maybe make the compiled python update available to a few people who are looking to translate? That way the translations could potentially make it into the patch.

OK. Thanks.
PS: Is pr.utxt the same as 0.6? If it is, I will send the translated one to you as well.

There are some little differences. But send it to me, I will write a script to do a comparison and tell you what messages are missing (if any).
