Why Doesn't...

Post by tehnubbucket »

The radio chatter appear at the side of the screen?
It appears to me that only 'Okay' and 'No sire/Negative' appear at the side of the screen. When a Chinese or Isralean is speaking you can't understand what they are properly saying, why take out what they are saying?

After played vBF2 for more than a month I could understand what they're saying.

Also, you get used to the sound of the radio commands and the meanings if you run about spamming different commands sometimes when it goes to general mess about on the server :)

I think the real issue is spam. I'm not positive, but I think things like "okay" now function similarly to saying "get ammo, here" (it can only be heard by people around you). It has nothing to do with realism, because you can say other things that cause text to appear.

Are you kidding?

So, you don't think Chinese soldiers would be able to understand Chinese? I only understand English, so a Chinese person hearing Chinese would be like an English person hearing English... if that makes any sense.

"English VO only" only makes the speech English so you can actually understand what people around you are saying ("medic!"), it doesn't make the radio messages appear on the screen (but if they did, they'd be in English too).

i know what "English VO only" make , what im saying is that it kill the inmertion , is unrealistic and also put you in disaventage (you confuse your self if you are playing agains the USMC , coz you will not know who is talking )

BETTER back the radio text , but only showed when you can hear the sound , so will not make any spam .

Well, by that logic, you must be in really deep water when someone uses VOIP and speaks english. Personally, I've taken a year of Arabic. I've learned a bit, but still can't understand everything the game says.

However, I think and act in English, as it's my primary language. When i hear Arabic, i don't understand it as Arabic. It's understood in my head as a placeholder for an English term/word. So in that case, hearing "كـافـر" over the radio comms, I would think "Infidel" not "كـافـر".
