We wouldn't do a check only for the kit, we can check if he's a squad leader or not. Also the comm rose is different between squad leaders and squad members, so the grunts wont get the possibility to build anything.

Also, the idea of the commander setting where he wants the asset to be built is another security so noobs wont simply start building anywhere.

Still needs some thinking, but I think is a valid idea.
in that case it would be a great idea. cause lol when i play commander i am always driving and deploying stuff and then begging ppl to build it instead of accepting supply requestes and stuff like that.

I suggest that a Logistics officer kit be made, which has the same abilitys as the CO to place Assets. This kit would be requested by the Commander and could than be picked up by a player, this means it's entirely his choice as to how he wishes for the assets to be placed. Thoughts?
Nice idea and logistics is what wars are won based on. Maybe this kit could only be picked up by a SL so that he can communicate with the commander instead of just some random lone player. Yea, it may take away from the 9 total squads, but there shouldn't be that many squads anyway if each has at least 4-6 people with maybe 2 or 3 small squads.

Why not have two commanders, one is the 'real' commander, the other a logistics officer?

So you have to apply for the logistics officer slot in the same way that you apply to be the commander. The logistics officer may also control the handout of kits, to give other squads a fair chance when squad Delta has all of the anti-tank equipment and are walking around aimlessly or are hanging around near the aircraft spawns.
