Nanjing AT
Did a search and could not find much on this specifically.
Why not mount an HJ-9 AT missile to a Nanjing truck? It can be done I believe, and would be similar (if not the direct variant) to the TOW HMMWV.

In the 3rd paragraph, it claims that it can be mounted to the Nanjing. I hope this can go into consideration.

I would guess that this is not possible unless the nanjing were remodelled (as editing EA's models is not permitted), and if that occurs it has a low priority at the current time, though this could indeed be something to consider for the future.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

thats the way it should be.Longbow* wrote:I wouldn't say it is low priority as infantry is doomed by tanks ATM and armoured jeeps\halftrucks with AT launchers would help a lot
infantry should be scarred of tanks not "oh im just going to get my nanjing"

Good idea I belive. I would say it is a low priority atm because on PLA vs. Other it is usually balanced fairly evenly so there is no need for more AT. Unless the DEV's come out with a map where the PLA are severely out armored then I wouldnt say this is a big issue.
Also on suggestions like these it is nice to add a picture. Because who knows? It may look sexy and the DEV's start to drool by just thinking about it.

Thats what it looks like.
Also, SinoDefence (which isn't the worlds best source) says that that version might be in service with PLA airborne troops.

But the U.S. army/USMC, whichever it is, has a Hummer with a mounted TOW. If there isn't a counterpart to this they'll just have to deal with it though I guess.Eddiereyes909 wrote:thats the way it should be.

I do rather like the look of this though...

4 missiles PLUS 8 spares, if that doesn't scare the **** outta Tanks I dunno what would.

which only appears on maps where the US are seriously out armored. Such as Qwai, where its 2 US APCs and 2 TOW humvees vs 2 Chinese APCs and 2 tanks. and the tanks can kill the humvees alot easier than they can kill the tanks.AnRK wrote:But the U.S. army/USMC, whichever it is, has a Hummer with a mounted TOW. I suggest you look into MEDI's helicopter tactics if you think thats trueBetterDeadThanRed wrote:Don't forget the AH-6 which is less than useless vs. armor.![]()
Or, if jihading doesn't appeal you could always have a H-AT guy sit on the bench so you can take out tanks from above.

Problem is Edd, is that its how it is IRL.Eddiereyes909 wrote: not "oh im just going to get my nanjing"
In the back of my mind, i remember something about how the chinese are updating this class of vehicle anyway, so the Nanjing would be obsolete. Dont QFT me though

In most games I've played in Qwai, the TOW usually wins. (It's probably the tankers though)
The tactic we use is do drive bys with the thing... works well. I had forgotten that you had to remodel the vehicle in order to add stuff though. Stupid EA/DICE.
I can't find much on this vehicle either, but I think there's a hardskinned version of it, where there are panels covering the place the people sit and the rollbars are.
edit:
First picture I have ever seen.

You cannot edit the vehicle per se, but you can add a different machinegun/tow missile to it via code. It's the same way the TOW launcher was removed from APC's, via code.

I like the idea of a AT Jeep for China, but the Nanjing is VERY obsolete. Here are some possible vehicles to fill that role.
VN3
http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6513869
WZ550 ATGM
http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6513870
ZSL93
FAV W/ HJ9 turret
VN3 or the FAV probably would be the best of the three because it is the most similar to the tow HMMV,especially considering the other two are full fledged armored vehicles. I believe I posted a suggestion thread regarding this topic called "Chinese 4x4" or something like that a while ago...
But yeah, it would be good to see more changes to the Chinese faction considering it (the faction) is very Vbf2-like AKA unrealistic at the moment.
A Chinese faction extreme make-over in the v0.8 would be nice.

Look at that picture of the Nanjing with the launcher on it. Completely different mount and general configuration to the current 12.7mm armed version.[R-CON]Desertfox wrote:A chance to own bob marley? I have to take this one up.

It might be possible to add the missile via code, but it wouldn't look at all right.
