Discussed at length and not done purely for balance. Do a search.

Getting Pilot kits from the chopper is better than getting it from the helipad. It gives players less incentive to camp the helipad and keeps people in the fight. On Kashan you may notice two squads at a time are waiting over the two havoks and the euro copter. Only getting kits from the choppers themselves will stop people getting the kits and waiting around.

I wouldn't think it right for medics to receive extensive optics. People would never play rifleman because they get the benefits from being a rifleman, as well as increased survivability.

I meant search the forum for previous discussions. It was decided to go with the pistols based on the TO&Es of a Russian-based motor rifle squad RPG gunner and USMC Assault Section (SMAW) gunner, who are issued pistols instead of rifles and multiple rounds for their launchers.

As for your photos, you only have a point with the first two of them.

Photo 3: Milan II, which is not a shoulder-fired missile.

Photo 4/5: Bofors MBT-LAW, which is a single shot disposable weapon designed for issue to any rifleman as a round of ammunition, like the AT4/M136.

As for the other two photos of the Javelin, the gunner is only carrying a rifle and one missile. If you give him a rifle and a single missile, like he would in reality, then we get to hear people ***** about him not having more 35 lb missiles and/or having guided missiles and a rifle being unfair and the UK and US having a lock-on before launch missile while others have to stand there and keep the sights on etc. We get bitching either way. Note I said it was not done purely for balance.

Was real bad at the start of Al Basrah, you'd see two dozen pilots running towards the 2 choppers cause they all got their kits at the flag. LMAO

I do see the need for pilot kits being easier to request.. idk, sometimes, im right where I should be and it keeps saying Im not coming to you. No. Im right where I need to be. I move up and down the length of the cockpit requesting... then I get the spam message...

Meh, its be nice if you could get them from inside hangers and on helipads, but really, i dont play them enough... but it WOULD be nice... :)
