I know it surpised me by still being up a while ago.

And I didnt spoil any one elses ending... Only my friends. Its fun having friends who like Harry potter. Of course, after I figured out that Anonymous were trying the same thing, I went looking for more spoilers.

I was in the 101st airborne division clan before my mom and step dad decided that PRMM Screwed up their computer. When I tried to reinstall it back on the file was corrupted. Ah well, I wanted to try a new one, but they were content on thinking that Pr was messing up the computer. My brother offered to put it on his computer. I told him it needed a copy of BF2 on his computer, and I dunno if he put it on or not.

But ah well, I've been begging the owner of the cyber cafe` near my house to download PRMM. I showed some of the employees the promo and they liked it, I just need to bug Kevin into getting it a little more.

Hmmm... Maybe I could get the Devs to come to Lexington kentucky to help me bug 'em? XP I kid, I kid. Or do I?

Well, before my parents decided to get rid of PRMM, I was on a mission to find the .50 M82A1 (My favorite rifle in the entire world) yet I could not.

Quote: PCGamer Uk September 2007:

Playing games teaches you career skills. That's the findings of a study by IBM and come corporate research outfit called Seriousity. And we're not just talking about problem solving, history and all the usual stuff. How about people management skills, conflict resolution and large team co-ordination?

Organise events, raids and dungeion trips in a guild in WOW and that's exactly what your learning. It's about leadership: if you've ever been part of a semi-serious guild then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Persuading people to attend events, gear themselves up and play in the way you want them to is a major challenge for any guild leader, and doing it successfully is an intensive course in the kind of "live" management skills that even the best academic qualifications struggle to teach.

End of quote.

I read this and thought "This article has a point". Forget WOW ... try leading in PR. Or just beeing a squaddie in PR.

Now try convincing your parents this. If you manage that - apply for a job in IBM or any other major corporation!

And that there is why I wanna play PR. I miss having a squad of people who can comply to teamwork, not some bunch o' idiots who cant comprehend teamwork. I would so try and convince my mom to let me re-download it if she wasnt gonna rip me in two if I try.

Well, I solved the problem by getting my mum hooked on games. I started by playing strategic games. Before I knew it, she would butt in and tell me what I should do. After I bought a second computer with my savings, she took my old one and played all my old games - before she got a kick *** computer that dropkicked my specs.

She is now at the age of 56 and has a good general knowledge of computer games on any platform. God bless her. Any mum that can say she has played Half-Life (v.x) or Doom (v.x or etc) - one brave mum indeed. Offcourse, since she does have good general knowledge of games - she is pretty strict on PG ratings.

Offcourse, christmas is kind of strange at our house. Everybody coming home to eat christmas dinner and arguing how to solve a certain task or quest in a game, and almost every present under the tree is a computer game. At the age of 30, it does bug me that my mother, well past 50, can still kick my *** in certain games.

Well this shows the decay of western civilisation and an end of white man domination. Dawn of Asian nations is already rising. :35_rip:

Well It seems very depressing that they are cutting your gaming time and they wont let u even download the cutest picture, But u know they are doing u some good,I was like u, I may be only 15 but hell it felt like 5 years of life was wasted playing on the pc when its only been 2 years.

I started out with Battlefield 1942 as my first real shooter, C&C renegade was one my first also, After that my urge to use the computer soared and it started to get out of hand, About 5 months ago I was a son of a ***** who didnt' give a shit about what rules were set in my house anymore and i felt like killing myself because well my grades were slipping hard and i didn't want to fail!, Well i got counciling *srry if this sounds boring but its getting a point*

and Well I started relising maybe pc isnt really everything even though i said it was. Well about a week ago my dad took me to wendy's *my fav fast food res* And he was like so whats gonna happen this year? and well ive been thinkin about it, And well i came up with some ideas and we migled with them.

Well we came up with if i dont finish an assignment or my chors, I get an hour cut off from the time i have to get off, Shut down time is 11:00 but then if it adds up, I forget to finish something and i didnt do a chor thats 2 ours, 9:00??? thats sucks dont it? but also it applies to supper lunch dinner so 2 hours before supper i cant go on, we made up other things, But really i only got on the pc at 8:00pm

Tonite and normaly i would come home at 3:30and just play on the pc and the next day i would be like fuck! my homework isn't done! well when i got home today. i did my Hw and made supper got organized for school and then i could finally use the pc. I enjoy my time a lot more now that i dont have to worry about getting kicked off becasue i earned my right to be on the computer :D maybe u should try it. In your case sit down and talk with your parents and make a plan. It will help, and sure some days u will slip but u know if u obey your parents u live longer and also they will actually lend u money when u need it in the future :P

Like i said sit down and talk with your parents, Its hard i know but trust me it will payoff, Even if they say fuck off or we dont care! your game poluted our pc! Tell them i knwo thats how u think and then show them proof of how its not, I can easly give u loads of info on how PR isnt bad or any download really. Good luck!

Wow, I'm glad you worked out your PC usage but please, use some paragraphs.
Stream of consciousness writing is very difficult to read.

Well its not so much that I play video games too much, its the fact that they seem to think that PR Screwed up their computer... Its not really true I can almost promise it something from Limewire. But, all I need to do is have good grades by X-mas and I will have a new, decent, computer. I can get the games on my computer I want, including PR, Secondlife, and some Smaller RTS's N' such, but I would really enjoy playing it about now.

Two and a half month to Christmas.
What I'd do, would probably be to try to convince my parents what Clavdivs said, aim for uber grades and buy an airsoft gun. But from what I can tell your parents are not as "open" as mine.
So, maybe you should try another game, to help pass some of the non PR time.

I have an airsoft gun, I just dont use it as much as I used to. And I only need C's to get the computer cause I'm Amazing that way, and the other thing is that I just need to make up a few things and I'll have what I need to be passing.

That's totally archaic. Why don't you hip your parents to the fact that these days parents play video games with their kids much like they played catch or board games in the past. Gaming is the 21st century version of parental bonding.

indeed, i dont play bf2142 anymore, althought the titan mode is entertaining, is mostly 'been there, done that'

anyway, better getting ur own PC, then u can fill it up with WTFever u want! but make sure u get a pretty decent one, do some research before hand so u dont get ripped off

^that should pass the time

I would love to get a top of the line computer, but thats a little underhanded due to a budget I have. I dont have really alot of money and with my 16 birthday coming up, I'm hopefully gonna be able to get a job so I could buy better parts for my new computer.
