get ammo after respawn

get ammo after respawn

What do you guys think about respawning with rifle and pistol ammo only? Maybe grenades and smoke grenades and other basic inessentials. Like if you spawn as an engeneer you need to get ammo for your mines and c4. Or when you get kits like hat or lat you need to get ammo.

This is a fighting game, not a dressing one ;)
There are only four classes now, it's nice like that.

They have thought of making everyone spawn as rifleman only and you must request kits such as medic and engineer etc.

I guess I don't fully understand your reply. Hat was referring to heavy anti tank, and lat light anti tank. I didn't mean change the kits or anything crazy like that. I was only suggesting not giving ammo for certain weapons after you pick up a kit such as the hat or lat. After requesting the kit you need to get ammo for it. Same with kits such as the engineer. You have ammo for your basic weapons but you need to get ammo for your c4 and land mines.

With some weapons caches at the main... I like it.

No more the ''oeh noez a tank! Letz request me leet HAT kit and shoot him right away''.


And repair/ammo vehicles would become more important.


Only like one of two clips as ammo when you spawn, and you'll need to 'collect' the rest at an ammo-place. Nice imo.

Ah ok, I didn't understood right ;)
Anyway, I feel this is too much. When you get a light AT you have only one rocket and when you're in the middle of a battlegound, it's already often uneasy to get supplies to finish your job. Running more after ammoes isn't the goal of a fps game, even realistic.

Yeah and maybe we should also have to clean our weapons after a firefight? Or dress up before spawning? :?

And maybe you could post a reply that was actually relevant to the suggestion. Point being that it would slow game play down a little, which would help get away from vbf2 run and gun tactics.

I can't imagine that soldiers would arrive on the field with a bare minimum of ammo, and then have to collect more.

I'd like to support it but I can't see it been very realistic.

Doesn't respawning represent arrival of new troops? I just think it funny that the troops are ready for combat the second the spawn. In rl most people are capable of doing many jobs, (military related or not). But it we don't have all the tools nessesary to do the job.
