Hello from Skipper

Post by Skipper »

Hello all !

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I had trouble locating your "Introductions" forum ...

I just signed up and want to say Hi. I was pointed in your direction by a buddy I gamed with in the past (not PR), but he tells me this is quite the deal, so I'm certainly interested in finding out more about PR.

Being completely green about PR, I may be on a long winding road to getting familiar with everything but I am looking forward to it.

Cheers!

hope you enjoy the mod :)

Welcome to Project Reality and the forums!

As there is a bit of a learning curve in PR, playing it is not quite the same as Battlefield 2. However, there are many great ways to learn about PR, all of which will greatly improve increase your fun factor :-D
Hot tip: use a microphone if at all possible, even if it costs $ 5!

1. Read the guide (takes 5 minutes, will explain most of what's going on).

2. Sign up for the official training sessions:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/sign-receive-training-t25882.html?highlight=training

3. Take part in the informal Adopt-A-Newbie program run by many great squad leaders on popular servers: if you mention you are a newbie willing to learn before a round starts, you will probably find many people eager to teach you by playing.

4. Join squads with names like VOIP/VOIP+TW etc. and learn by listening to what your squad is doing.

5. Finally, join the A-TEAM on the Thors Brigade servers. We're always happy to have a newbie tag along and learn the game with us.
