I ran a few searches and couldn't find anything related so here's my suggestion;
Is it possible to remove the delay for the copilot in position 2 to instantly resume command of the flight when the pilot is killed? Since we can't mirror the controls it would only make sense and be far more realistic should the pilot take fire that the copilot can resume command of the flight without killing everyone else onboard.

If the pilots dies, the co pilot will have to switch. It then takes 30 seconds for the chopper to warm up. Crashing the chopper in the process.
Where's the problem?
The co pilot can't change positions in an AH, the BF2 eninge won't allow the co pilot to have control (as a driver).

If you are reading this dont stop, cause if you do, I'll kick you in the balls.

Flight controls are mirrored on the Apache, not sure about the cobra but I was thinking more about the blackhawk here. I guess a more realistic option would be to leave the engines warmed up and turning after the pilot is killed. Having the engine go "cold" the instant the pilot leaves just doesn't fit the bill.El_Vikingo wrote:If the pilots dies, the co pilot will have to switch. Dam, I just tried that and its absolutely fine. I landed a blackhawk and a cobra from 30 Altitude, no massive damage or smoke even.
At 100 altitude I could switch to co-pilot, let the heli rotate 180 degrees, switch back and the engines would provide enough lift before we hit the ground to never actually make contact.
Contact with ground objects is the biggest concern with any lack of control I think
I have read a complaint about this, where someone with flight experience complained the helis should be falling out of the sky without proper lift, which they dont. Cant win!
