well done for a mod that really give bf2 new life. there's a lack of server though so its been SP all the way for me so far. but its still fun.
brilliant sounds. fantastic weapon handling. hell you've got right what so many other games have not. the real feel.
however there are a few things i find that need change.
1st. the m4 is way too accurate unsighted on full auto. it's like a laser beam that. I've not fired one of these in real life, but i reckon firing from the hip should not be anywhere near this accurate. firing with sight up is spot on though.
2nd. the ak ROF seems a little low.
3rd. the m249 is beautiful. really. but its too easy to keep on target. at that ROF it should literally BUZZ off target fast. this http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m249.htm webpage (see parag 4) has the handling aspect down quite nicely. also too accurate too fast after going to prone then firing.
4th. the sniper weapon is very hard to use. lined up target, took 3 seconds to stabilise. still missed. don't know if this is a good thing. but encourages sniper patience. very frustrating trying to guess what's going on. weapon wobble would be a better visual feedback of settling the aim.
5th. rpk74. ROF seems low. Should reach maximum accuracy faster when prone though cause its basked on ak74. Accuracy could be tightened a bit. however i'd recommend replacing it with the PKM done up to real life standards (same ROF as rpk but much more damage and ability to penetrate walls, take out cars, etc). lol. easy to suggest things. but it would then give the east forces a different yet balanced weapon. atm, the saw outguns the rpk totally.
6th. Weapon sway. could this be implemented? especially in weapons fired from hip. would be great if the weapon sway got greater the lower the stamina bar was. would be much less when weapon sights are up (but still would be there to a degree).
anyway. enough typing. wish there was an australian prmm server. great work.
edit - sorry. forgot weblink.

that's damn impressive.solodude23 wrote:The SAW has even less recoil and is even more accurate i real life. The other armies LMG's just need to be brought up to par.
but as afar as the game goes the east side does need to catch up. so if they can't equal the accuracy or RPM they can make up for it with firepower. hence the suggestion for the pkm replacing the rpk. sorta keep the rpk spread (it has same RPM of 650/minute) when prone but using PKM ammo that goes through thin walls and can even take out cars and trucks. of course standing /crouched you'll need fire control or it'll end up shooting everywhere.
and a set up time (maybe 3 or 4 seconds till acceptable accuracy) for the LMG (m249 in particular) when prone would give it a more specialist feel and stop it becoming the ubergun eveyrone uses until a tank comes along.
