I remember reading about soldier digging "grenade sumps" in bunkers so they had a safe place to kick the grenade if it was tossed into the area.
That would lead me to believe that kicking a grenade away is not only possible but considered a wise move.
If you have a convenient corner then I would duck around it but Murphy lives so there probably won't be any cover available when that grenade lands.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

When the grenade is thrown, you'll always die first before managing to warn your squadmates about it

That would be one PR Murphy :p

Does throwing yourself on the grenades do antyhing in PR?

.... nevermind

Just courious but if you put your helmet on a grenade in real life would it launch it up, blow it to pieces and/or actually have some positive effect?

It would just add more shrapnel. Kevlar helmets are designed to protect from flying debris and light shrapnel-not explosions. Besides, by the time you've taken your helmet off and put it over the grenade it's already gone off.

RUN ?
How fast can you run ?
Lets just say you can sprint 15mph which would be about 22 feet per sec.
The grenade, on the other hand, will explode and move about 26,400 feet per second.....how far do you think you will get ?

Lets try all those things!

You seem to forget that once pin is pulled, MR. Grenade is no LONGER your mate!
actually, it still is

at least the m67 is

you can pull the pin and handle and sit there all day if you like. there's a spring loaded igniter inside the grenade that will only release when the grenade has sufficient acceleration to get it to catch, so you need to either throw it hard, throw it and let it hit the ground, or at the very least, drop it and run.
