Hello guys..
I've got a question.. Does anyone have some sort of overview of how many polys a seperate vehicle/weapon may have? I remember seeing a post about this, but I can't find it any more...
Thanks

Not maximum poly counts, but recommended. You can go higher if you have very good poly reduction on your LODs.
To see poly counts in max: File -> summary info.

And btw, the amount of faces per object is the polycount?

If you're using 3ds max 9 go Customize->Viewport Configuration->statistics and select Triangle countbearking19 wrote:I would like to know too. I create stuff in 3ds max but have no idea how to check poly count and what have you.
Once you've done that just press 7 key. It should show your tricount on upper left corner.
If you're using 3ds max 8 or older you have to launch external polycount plugin from Utilities->More -menu
Yup, all normal engines do that. Even the 3d studio viewport renderer.KP wrote:Polycount = triangle count, methinks. Something to do with BF2 converting all faces to triangles.
3d engines don't know how to render a poly with more than 3 verticles
