ops: This might not be the best first post ive ever done on a forum but whatthaheck.
If there is something i lacked in bf2 it was a wait command. You could scream MEDIC! I NEED AMMO! ENEMY SPOTTED! etc. but you couldnt scream WAIT! :d uh:
Its a simple command that could help a squad to stick together, why wasnt it in BF2
yeah thats a good point, funny how you dont think of something so simple.
Im sure it will be put in if the lads think its a good idea. oh and welcome to the forums
Yeah, we need more command-based macros (or wahtever they're called).
Examples:
Form up
Regroup
Clear Building
Displace
GET THE **** OUTTA HERE! (like when a T72 or BMP is moving toward you)
Go go go!
Flank left
Flank right
Suppressing fire!
Cover me
etc

or at least all the ones from bf42. I REALLY miss 'em. You could actually have a battlefield related conversation with em!
Ex: Go go go! Wait! enemy armor spotted! Fall back! I need anti tank support! Follow me! Stay together! Take cover! Go go go! FIRE! Roger, Alright! Area Secure!
You could literally say all of that, at the push of just a few buttons... i REALLY wish i could do that in bf2. while bf2's system is much easier to use, it is really restrictive. I wish their was the q menu, and an added thing like AA or somethign where you hit a button and it brings up a bunch of options.
I know voice would definitely be more work to incorporate, but it would be nice. Sometimes I miss out on text completely because I'm too focused on the fight. Vocal commands in the q menu are hard to miss. They'd have to be strictly squad based or proximity based though, so you don't hear your other teammates yelling "Clear!" or "Wait!" or whatever from the other side of the map. That would just get confusing.
Great Idea though. I too miss the more extensive commands from BF1942
