If by tint, you mean as in shading it slightly, I don't think thats done in scopes in the military (however I could be catastrophically wrong).

If by tint you mean reflection off the scopes, that would depend on the persons graphics card. I know mine would suck, as I have to run the game on low settings.

The scopes already reflect. Or maybe he means so it flashes when the sniper is aiming right at you...

I think its that. And a cheesy way of doing that is to make a texture that is only visible from a very narrow angle at the end of the scope. not many ideas on that.

It wouldnt shine at all and be just as visible as the polygons representing the actual lens of the rifle. So that wouldnt be good use... Nope, it need to be a real lensflare based on angle.

One question to consider is if it's really worthwhile considering. That of course depends on how effective anti-glare and anti-reflection coatings and devices are in the real world.

is that in winter because it looks as tough that would be to keep frost/snow off the lens

Im not sure. Looks like just a piece of scrim netting stretched over, but I personaly can't see how it would work. But if a sniper has put it on his rifle, im sure its going to let him see through the reverse side.

That would be my guess as well. I don't think something like that could limit frost. If those are put on siper scopes in game it would eliminate the glare, which would be a pain in my opinion because it would probably be something that shows up more than it should.

They are placed over so when light reaches the scope it reflects off. Its relatively easy to se through aswell. As the scope magnifies the light coming in, the holes are 24x larger, so it's like looking through a hole in a fence!

Edit P.s did you mean like an orangish tint that sopes have built into them? These tints act more or less like sunglasses do, and prevent vast amounts of bright white light entering into your eyes. i can see no problem with it but may have to be checked up with by either arch or pally, the coders.

Everyone thought that you meant a glare or reflection off of a scope but you did inded say tint. Just a little mixup I suppose.

i want it because the scopes just looks so plain and fake especially seeing as i have used a red dot sight in airsoft once.
