APC driver dies instead of Turrent-smurf.

Yeah. The search-engine left me resultless, and i think its a new bug for .613.

Today I experienced this 2-3 times, as Crewman in APC driver-seat, smurf spawnes in the turret-seat, makes no attempt to move, and I die instead of him! To the gallows!

Really boring bug, when leaving APC crewman-less far outside Flag-radius.
Of course it discurrages solo-driving, but sometimes its necessary to move a strech alone.

Anyone?

With which faction did you witness this? USMC? MEC? Other?

Atleast MEC on Jabal.

I had this too -- twice -- on Jabal while playing MEC.

I spawned, requested and got the Crewman kit, got in the driver's seat of an APC and then the server killed me: "You do not have a CREWMAN kit" ... which I did.

Maybe a non-crewman was spawning or climbing into the APC behind me, but I don't think so...

No, on all apart one occation had i been in the APC long time. Other i had been there a little while, moved a bit around but not left main.
I think i died becouse HE lacked the crewman-kit. I know i had mine, and dont recall any servermessage at all.

As for timeframe, i died excactly when he where supposed to die. Or did you mean somethin else?

I witnessed this. we were on the same team, USMC.

I was in another squad, got a crewmans kit, then was joining his squad to set off with him from the carrier when the other guy appeared/entered the apc. I swore at the guy to get out of the turret and he didn't, then Boffe died. I didn't see what happened to the guy in the turret I'm afraid. Can't confirm if he died as well, however the message at the top of the screen said that the guy had a crewmans kit, ie. the "you have to be in his squad to occupy that position" or whatever the message is. This suggests he didn't spawn into the apc but entered of his own volition with a crewmans kit.


I suggest checking what happens to a driver with crewmans kit when another squads crewman gets into the gun position first.

Did you guys take the crewman kit from the ground whith the G key?
Once you where shoure, where you abble to drive?
if not, where you in the same SQ that the other player?
Did you know that the vehicles can be only drived by same sq members?

elemanoel, the bug is not being unable to drive, bjoffe already had the crewman kit and was in the APC driver seat. It was after a blue climbed/spawned in the gunner seat that he was killed. This is a bug, not user error.

I played the USMC was an APC whole round, didn't experienced this. But I had no smurf dieing in my APC.
