ABR crashing?

It looks like it may have been your rank promotion.

Make sure you follow the steps I described here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/showth ... 22&page=10

Once you do that, next time you play, it should get awarded.

Yes. I have been having a lot of CTDs...It seems as though everytime someone else gets a promotion I get a CTD.

Sometimes it doesn't do it though. I don't know, wierd stuff..

I love the ranking system though. So far I've gotten Basic Combat!

If you don't want to change your hosts file, you could also try the ABR client here: http://www.bf2scripts.com/modules/mydownloads/. They're working hard on the next version, too.

Hm, don't see it:

maybe that's because you haven't done the hosts file change or not using the ABR client? Have you or are you?

I recieved a Basic Medic award then a few minutes later I CTD'ed. But I have to say it worked great except for that, nice work ABR, Im sure all bugs will be found and squashed before we know it.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing.

No I'm not using the client. But in-game gave me the basic combat medal..

No fair..

Same for me also. I was using the ABR client.

You need to make sure BFHQ shows you ABR stats. If it does not, you may run into problems.

In order to get BFHQ working, you need to:
- register at bf2scripts.com and choose PRMM as your primary ABR world
- use either the ABR client or modify your hosts file the way I've described in a couple of places now

Yeah, perhaps that now I've got my BFHQ setup and working properely it will not CTD. I'll have to get Evilhomer back online again so I can quickly whip up the required number of kills and check

Nah, I've used the ABR client, registered at bf2stats and checked BFHQ shows my new stats. All is green, but still I get a CTD after a medal or promotion...

It may be the same problem that's biting other people. Looks like ABR was awarding SF awards. Satcom is working on resolving the issue and hopefully that will fix CTDs.

Now that I've registered, made Project Reality the primary world and using the client I have not had any CTD's when being awarded a medal or a promotion.
