Helmand Province? Love it or Hate it

Meh... never was a big fan of Helmand. The map itself needs to be larger, and something needs to be done with grass draw distance (I think the devs may be working on static vegetation that does this no?). It probably should play out more like insurgency, with larger villages and hidden caches within them that the Insurgents must defend. An alternative method than spawn cars would be great for the Insurgents as well... since it's kind of silly that the entire team must depend on two spawn cars.

Nothing more than that really... would just like to see a larger version of the map with more vehicle and all that good stuff.

More tickets would help, and I think it would be a great Insurgency map.

I really enjoy it, though it is pretty tough as insurgents to be on the attack - defending is no problem but once you start moving towards a British defended point you get picked off way before you can see anyone. It probably is 'winable' as insurgents if you had an entire team of clued up players, but in the main on the public servers it turns into a bit of a backside kicking instead. :razz:

No offence to whoever made that map but its ****.. Insurgents dont stand a chance against a half decent British team. The map is far to open

I played this map yesterday as an insurgent and we won just applying some basic tactics. Use the edge of the map and hold a line from there to Whiskey, restrict their advance and we won on points

Its a different kind of map, I think it should stay like that. The only thing I'd change really is to restrict 1 civilian per squad.

If only GB started a little far away, so insurgents could get to whiskey first and prepare a defense properly

Anyway, you just have to destroy the 3 spawn cars and kill the SLs and that is it

I like the new version, the old one I HATED because it was sooo flat and so easy to camp even from accross the map. That and the British textures look 500% better than before.

When you spent over 2 grand on a custom computer, you tend to want things to look right and the pink on the previous British skin just made the map look too "cartoony"

The map is still the same as in 0.5, only thing that has changed, are the Ins/GB kits.

No more Insurgents spawning with G3s and Ak101 and everyone on GB team being grenadier nub tubing the houses and all the rest.

Although its true, that Insurgents do get owned, since L85 > Ak47 in the open areas.

Wasnt especially hard and the uk were pushing us back but we still won.
I think alot of maps its the team that shoots themselves in the foot and thats why they lose.

Any assault type map this can happen. Here it happens because the team destroys their own spawn cars, we actually protected them and won

I played it for the first time in .6 yesterday... It just felt wrong lol. Brits rape it in. Even when they were shooting civs left, right and centre!
