But that pining down of a whole team wouldn't happen because you can shoot through walls in Bf2.

I doubt regular M16's are gonna shoot through concrete. If you think they are then i would REALLY like a link telling me this. I have herd that there will be bullet penetration, but a M16 round goin through a concrete wall is just "not smart" lets say  . I would find it very annoying if my squad gets pinned down by some fool who is just popping out, take a few shits, and we unload at the wall and he pops out again and shoots us. I am sure there are ways out of this..but for the sake of gameplay..please just leave shooting while looking around corners out. I would like to see leaning implemented into the game, as i see it would make the game much better. Altho if wanting to shoot, you should have to expose yourself enough to shoot at people. just what i think...

Then bring a support vehicle with a .50 cal with your squad.

i think we should implement the type of leaning that is present in call of duty, it works really well

.50 cals dont shoot through concrete either. They might chip some away, but it would overheat long before you could chip away an entire wall. Bring a bradley, then youll have a chance.

a M2 50 cal could easily take off the corners of some concrete walls before overheating,

The trained operator of a 50 caliber sniper rifle like the Barrett M82A1 has the choice of accurately hitting a long range target at 1,800 meters (1,969 yards) away,21 blasting through two inches of solid concrete at the shorter range of 200 meters (219 yards),22 or destroying a spectrum of personnel and material targets at other ranges.23 These choices—the balance of extremely long-range and enormous striking power—are enhanced when specially designed "match," "armor piercing," or "armor piercing incendiary" ammunition is used.

The .50 sniper uses the same bullet as the M2.

Not to mention they can punch through an engine block.

Yes but that is 2 inches of concrete, and most likely a head on shot. Were talking about a wall, probly 4-5 inches. And seeing as its a corner you must take into the acount that it must penetrate even more, say 6 inches. And its at an angle. Chances are the bullets would ricochete(sp) away. You could chip the corner, but if you did enough of that to get the guy, hed have enough time to circle around and shoot you in the back.

So thats what 10 shots for 6" and as the M2 shoots at 600 rpm thats only 1 second on target to take out a target.

see, the thing about corners is that they are structural weak points, 6 inches will only require about 2 inches of desctruction before it cracks off leaving a nice gap to pop the man hiding behind it :P how fast does an m2 fire?

I would like to see bleeding included. So that if you are hit, you not only lose health but you also start bleeding. Bleeding then causes a constant loss of health which continues until you are healed/bandaged.

Not every squad will have a hummvie cruising with them, most will go it on foot, then be shot at from people popping out of corners. So then you will have a game that everyone gets shot by sombody behind a wall..and it will be very hard to kill anyone. Remember, u want realism, but you also want people to play your mod and for it to be fun. I would say, implement the leaning but dont implement leaning AND shooting. By not having people shoot around corners u will have people have to expose themselves to fire on you, making you and him a "equal kill" since you are both able to be hit.

I disagree with being able to lean and not shoot. If they're too difficult to kill directly, pin them down and have others flank them. Then one can simply use anything from grenade lauchers, grenades or even a rocket laucher if availlable.

perhaps we could have leaning and shooting but make the shooting extremely inaccurate.... this would be realistic as it is hard to steady your gun when you are just holding onto the back of it

Sorry but no. You can shoot just as well leaning around corners.
