Significance of a shovel?

You mean in WWI, both the Allied and German commanders were issuing rewards to their troops for digging as fast as possible? Hmm.. an interesting new theory on the development of trench warfare lol.

Personally, I think the shovel and wrench should be able to be used in melee combat... with the appropriate sound effects.

With the size of that wrench, it'd do a fair amount of damage to an infantryman... and the shovel-in-the-face technique has gotta give swirl-o-vision for a while, even if it doesn't do that much damage ;)

Then, am glad to announce, they WOULD be a one-piece entertainment/utility/melee weapon of hilarity....

if ur going to do that id like to see normal weapon as mele or with a bayonette, but then there is always the stupid BF2 engine, damm u DICE!!!! and your hardcoding

feel free to get animating :P


i dont like things like this as they tend to be a bit cheesy, but i can understand if the engineer gets a melee shovel instead of a knife, or a miltia sqaud leader has a machete or a axe
