Out of curiosity which British branch is being represented in this mod? Army or Royal Marines?

Both. It really is up too the mapper in who is actually fighting. Since Marines and the Army use the same equipment.

I always assumed it was royal marines, if anyone has played on an al bas server with me they have probably heard:
"Ice cream truck is patrolling the streets of basrah, listen for the music. Royal Marines get a %10 discount"

Actually just relised, it can't be marines on desert maps... since one of the skins (officer I believe) wears a red cap.

It really depends on the map. The Army, Marines, Paras etc all use more or less the same type of weapons with some diffrent vehicles here or there. Also bare in mind there is also the RAF and RN that should also see some action here and there in the future :D

Royal Marines and the British Army tbh. The Army operate Apaches via the Army Air Corps, and Merlins are flown by the RN/RAF in conjunction with the Joint Forces Helicopter Command (covers all three services). Air Assault is Army (16 Air Assault Bde), Mech Infantry (Warriors) is Army, Armour (MBT and Recce) is Army. The RMs are capable of land, sea and helicopter assaults too.

As Rhino says, it really depends on the map and the storyline the mapper wishes to use. With the 0.61 skins, the RMs are portrayed in the woodland skins, and the desert skins portray the Parachute Regiment to balance the above.

I thought it was the Light Dragoons as well, but it actually says, "Light Dragoon Recce patrols have reported that the Mosque is also a possible Insurgent stronghold, with numerous Ammo Dumps around the area." :]

The Light Dragoons is what [R-DEV]UK_Force is part of, small amour section of the British Army :)

Its not the entire British army :p

England's Northern Cavalry

The Light Dragoons are a Formation Reconnaissance Regiment with a history in the reconnaissance role which dates back to the early 18th Century.
