why does bf2 and bf2142 do this

Post by ExOps_Mercenary »

i want to know why in bf:vietnam and bf1942 you could have just set up a game online and without having to buy a server or pay money, but in bf2/2142 you can't just click on a create a server button and there you go you can pick your maps and chose your settings.
so to sum it up why do we need to but a server or pay money to make our own game online?
Give me a rule or something and I'll find a way around it or tell you how to make it work

because there is a server version of the game

and with bf2 and 2142, you comp wouldn't be able to handle 64 separate players and their battles.

When you install there's an option to install the dedicated server too. Alternatively, you can download the server installer from the EA site.

But you'd better have an incredibly good connection if you want to host a server with more than a few players.
