I dont really agree..i think they're called 'ambushers' for a reason and a shotgun is a perfect ambush weapon. as for the slugs. it is possible to hit people at range with practice and steady aim. But i do agree that they should maybe re-skin it and call it somethin else. looks a bit fancy for my likin'

That SKS sure would be badass with 2 IEDS, 2 AT Mines, and a knife...

A SKS costs 150USD in usa? Thats dam cheap, I see air guns costing more then that

I like the classes to have varied weapons and sagia is amazing up close (as someone pointed out, if anything its an overly advanced weapon)

Saiga is no weapon for insurgents, it's a bit modern isn't it? SKS would be great, but i guess that for an AMBUSHER SMG would be better

What about the skorpion e? do they use it up there?

I don't recall many Insurgents using SMGs, they usually stick to the weapons with 7.62mm because they can get that ammo pretty easily.

Most insurgents in the region this represent are rather well funded. So I'd guess the arguement that the Saiga is to modern or expensive is voided however perhaps the Devs wanted them to be underfunded then I shall suggest this.

The ambusher kit is designed to ambush enemy forces quickly and effectively with mines and IED. Wipe them out as fast as possible.

A radical idea would be set them up with an Anti-Personal RPG that a has a similar explosion to a grenade if not bigger slightly. The weapon would be nearly useless against armor but perfect for ambushes. You have an enemy squad sticking to close together in the street. You launch an AP RPG round and get 2 - 3 of them. The real thing is you don't give them a sidearm or a backup weapon so they are dependent on there ambush tactics or being constantly supplied by an Ammo troop which my understand is the insurgent ammo guy is rather underused.

Now before the screaming of noob tubing happens. If you set the ammo to say 1+2 or 1+1 he won't be effective long without a good coordinated squad to back him up. Due to the fact that the RPG-7 is outdated as a Anti-tank weapon and now used as more of a mobile artillery I believe it fits quite nicely.

If anything else you could make it a pickup kit.

The Saiga may not be the most accurate weapon for them to have in terms of contemporary availability (I have no idea if there are any lying around in Iraq, and I make no claims to know either way) but anyone who says they can't hit anything with it is clearly trying to use it like a rifle.

Yes, at 100m a barn door can be a challenging, elusive prey for the shottie, but at close-close range, nothing is better in my opinion. Aim at the chest, fire once and the recoil and a little mouse-work should put the aimpoint directly over the target's head, a second shot is almost guaranteed to put them down. As the Saiga is auto, it cycles damn quickly too - I've stormed the VCP on Basrah solo with it and taken out a group of three brits with their weapons all on full auto before they've had time to react. It wouldn't've gone so well had they all been facing me, but as they didn't see me until the first guy took a blast to the chest, it was a doddle.

"Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post

How about making it like the conventional force, and give them the AK on open maps (like M16 for US) and the Sagia for city maps? For that matter the Eng. would get the shotgun as well on Basrah.
