i almost just needed it when i dondt came further with trying it ingame, the first thing i needed the manual for was how to fly the lb lmao... the overheating feature is not bad but on publics you almost have players which are new and they crash all the time at the start because the dondt know the warmup time that nervs extremly, because of the long respawntimes on the attack lbs

Read it all really while downloading, but I had been reading the forums even before I got BF2 and PR so I knew alot already. I am the type of person who buys something new and on the way home reads the manual.
"Today's forecast calls for 30mm HE rain with a slight chance of hellfires"
"oh, they're fire and forget all right...they're fired then they forget where the target is"

read it all when i was bored. since ive followed closely with each release since a ways back (not tooting horn, i know people have been here WAY longer than me(not in forums, but following the mod itself)) But, since ive been following its progress, its easy to learn the few new things at each release, instead of, say someone coming straight to .61 from vBF2 right now... you know?

I learned some stuff the nub way on low-spawn servers, where they didn't mind anyway, since the Blackhawk I crashed 4 times in a row, respawned back before I did (15 seconds)
Besides the kit limiting I didn't really bother much, as I knew some basic stuff from BF2 and quickly adapted, if there was a small change (using shock paddles and aiming with ironsights isn't really astrophysics
).
I actually started reading the guide, when I felt, I need to improve and since I saw some interesting articles in the Wiki.
