LMAO. :fryingpan

Now, for a serious response...
I think your setup looks good. It would require teamwork, and still keep it fun for both players. Sounds like it would work.

I think the turret sounds good. How slow will it be?

Air force definition of explosives: A loud noise followed by the sudden going away of what was once there a second ago.

Retreating?! Hell no, we're just attacking the other direction!

I think the mg should simply be like it is now: A secondary (or in this case the third) position that can strenghten the tank. If a keyboard turret in introduced, its going to be even better than it is now as its use against infantry increases (or rather the turrets effectivness against infantry decreases).

Realistic statistics say the M1A2 Turret can make a complete 360degree rotation in just under 6-7 seconds.

Personally, decreasing the turrets effectiveness by changing the controls is a bit too drastic. There are other ways of doing it.

In the coding you can set the MaxSpeed and Accelleration of the turrets rotation. Also, you can set the MaxSpeed and Accelleration that the cannon raises or lowers. Adjusted properly it can work out wonderfully!

Maybe this would be the best way to go about doing that?

As far as dividing the tank controls up, it's yet to be announced if it's possible or not. It's been possible in BF1942 and BFV so maybe we'll get lucky.

And I agree with your setup for the Driver/Gunner setup except for the arrow keys controlling the turret movement. IRL, the turret is controlled by a joystick in almost all modern tanks.

Plus, the controls should be able to be setup by the player to what ever he/she desires.

If the turret moves slower, it has a harder time targeting infantry and helos/aircrafts. It may not be slow in real life, but I'm pretty sure it cant do 360 degrees a second.

Edit: darn, why do people always have to post when I also post?

Either way, the turret movement speed needs to be slower/sluggish compared to what it is now. That also goes for all the Transport/Stationary guns. No one should be able to move a 50cal. or any of those types of guns 30+ degrees in a split second.

Once again, use OFP as an example. They made these movements realistic.
