riot control weapons to british/us forces

i already searched for a thread similar to this but couldnt find any.
would it be possible to arm the british soldiers riot control guns or less lethal guns to use on those pesky civilians??
maybe you can shoot the civilians with it, which will cause the civilian to get that that drunken couphing stage for a while, but wouldnt kill them so u can knife them easier. because everyone needs to admit it, civilians are annoying as hell when they throw rocks at you from like a distance and u cant do anything. lol

They said they don't want CS because it would get abused and less than lethal are being worked on by someone.
This is not, by any means, a new subject and bean bag guns and wavvy vision are good ideas but I don't think there has been much official comment on it lately.

Maybe it would also knock them down: going prone when hit and staying prone for 4 seconds

How many times have you had someone in your squad who thought it would be funny to hear your reactions to being flashed banged.

Now imagine the LSD effect and it last a while and you get knocked down.

I dont think thats fun,

But i would say that used appropriately the Tear Gas would be a great tool for those civies

The officer kit comes with a flashbang, i usually throw one of those when i'm pursuing a civilian.
tear gas launcher could be added to the SL or greineder

I think a Tazer would be good, but i'm not too sure if any Conventional Army uses them.

Beanbag Lauchers are always fun though

I don't even think PMCs use tazers, i think it's more geared toward law enforcement. i think that tear gas or beanbags is all we need.

Tasers are used by conventional armies, but only by certain elements such as military police and others with a force-protection or peace-keeping task (such as the Marine Corps Security Forces, home service RIR units and maybe the Fleet Protection Group RM). I don't think a taser could be coded into this engine, though.

As said earlier, sponge and beanbag rounds are being considered.

its already hard enough to run away as civilian giving them another way to get you would make it kinda suck.

civilians have a grapple/binocs
you should be able to see them coming and get away.
any good civilian will stay near his squad, so really i don't have any sympathy for a civilian that gets knifed.

Wrong. If on a rope you can get shot without penalty(at least thats how it WAS). Not an effective escape method. Tey also have a shorter run meter correct? I always get outrun by the Brits...

I dont think the civies are a big deal, half the time they get killed or knifed anyway. If he causes problems, move up as a squad, he'll run as he sees the frontline change or he'll get knifed..

Or shoot him once and then he'll be bleeding and have to bandage or run away. Just hpoe he's at full health...

I dont think thats something bad. Who cares. I'm sure in every iraqi town there is some old toothless woman screaming out enemy positions to her fellow freedom fighters. And no ones gonna shoot a toothless iraqi woman with a bean bag round

well, some might... In those towns, everyone fights in whatever way they can.
