Okay, I'm convinced, after a very short try, I'll hardly be able to play vanilla again. I love the realism, the teamplay, and that feeling of danger when you're crawling in the high weeds towards the enemy and you don't know where he is. Hell, I'll be playing right now if my cable gave me a ping better than 2 secs
I still have pb with VOIP, even after following the steps (maybe I need to reboot after changing in Dx ?). It worked for about 2 min, then nothing. I'll just install teamspeak (or ventrilo is more used ?).
My main pb now is to be able to tell the uniforms. I spot a guy, then check the minimap so I don't shoot an ally, and I'm dead... Quite hard to look whether the guy has a beard, or what brand of cigs he smokes, but it will come !
I'll play again tonight if my connexion gets better.

i love the no uav & no scan only way to play i think. you put your acceleration on low or none in the dxdiag? make sure its still there, it fixed mine , well i took away my "mic boost" and also took away "enable eax" mine works good , also if your is on hardware make sure you game card doesnt conflict with that setting , bf2 has a readme in folder tellin about the cards that will not work on hardware setting.

btw i have hard time tellin uniform apart too, cant trust mini map or spot key, what i do is look for my teammates on my mini If they dont line up with what im seeing i shoot it.

Ok VOIP is working in game, but not in the config. Thanks ! I had a nice practice session in apache today with a russian guy, I can't wait to try that in a real battle !
