Any and every kind of squad.
I do really enjoy being in a squad of people that use their VOIP and are relatively efficient in all areas.
Such as:
Me and a squad of buddies commit Pwnzer_Faust on the enemy, in a 6man tank squad (2 to a tank). Comms and discipline to orders meant a firm win and 'a jolly good job')

OR:
(A squad with a fine leader, like SpaceCadette, who knows his map and leads his relatively inexperienced troop to a fine victory, being patient yet quick with his force):

The kind of squads i dislike are ones that dont follow orders, stay silent and hoard sniper and SF kits whenever a RP is layed
Such as:
(this is a squad i managed to pin under the waterfront on Mutrah. They obviously where unorganised and trapped so i took the liberties of jumping in the water beside them, screen shotting their red faces and climbing back up the ladder, only for them to follow and meet lead, coming down.)

And:

(a squad of fools rush the newly lost flag, leaving myself and me to defend it against and MBT and an APC. Note how most are SF...)
But i do like a squad that likes to have fun on the job. Usually after a sterling performance, the squad and I will engage in a bit of mischief.
Such as:
(Simply wasting ammo)

Or:
(Fishing with HAT and Arty lolz)

...mongol...

This may be because on some servers, you get kicked for not joining a squad and the current squad(s) are full. Not much you can do but get kicked or start a squad and and if you don't wnat to SL, wait for an opening in a current squad.Morlock wrote:My least favourite is one where someone creates a squad then leaves it 5 minutes into the game. If you create a squad please be prepared to squadlead for the duration of the map, otherwise, join a squad and do not squadlead.

*Favourite* is a squad of experienced players or willing-to-learn newbies, infantry - possibly with APC support depending on the map. People who're willing to request kits that are needed, who respond to orders to stay close or spread out as needed, and who know the maps a little (and who understand AAS).
Generally I love squad leading, tho I can get fed up and stuck in a rut on some maps, and end up running lots and achieving very little. When that happens I usually take a SM spot next round and let someone else do the directing until I'm on form again.
I also *love* flying backhawk deliveries, either as a pilot in an infantry squad in the air-mobile role, or just simply in a dedicated pilot squad supporting the whole team.
I hate dedicated armor squads, simply because you've got less control over how you spend the round.

I know what you mean.Top_Cat_AxJnAt wrote:My most favorite kind of squad is a four man infantry one! Although i really do rather prefer to have two of them, if you get what i mean*! ;)
Favourite: any squad led by Top_Cat.
Don't see you around a lot, though, mate...
