Urban Maps

Post by Hitperson »

i dont know if anyone else feels the same as me but BF2 does not seem able to correctly support maps out side of an urban/suburban scene

the weapons are more suited to cqb and urban warfare

the veichles are definatly more suited to urban warfare as for warfare in the open plains you need much more in the way of viechles and definatly noticed since i got OFP a few days ago the feel of trhe game is definately one of urban warefare because you don't have enough people playing.

PLEASE can we have more urban maps they just suit the BF2 engine.

I'd like to see more urban maps too...

And, I'd like to see them even "tighter" (smaller streets, more buildings to enter) than Karland, so armour and air-support won't be so dominant!

I enjoy some of the maps in SF for this reason. For instance fighting around the sub pin. Since people seem to enjoy more infantry intense fights rather than the APC or Tank rolling in on their position. SF had this in mind when the maps were made. I'd love to see some of those cover intensive map types come over to PRMM.

The SF map Warlord Is one of my favorite maps for this. Infact it's probably my favorite BF2 city map but I can't stand playing regular BF2 anymore so I don't play it. I wish it could be ported over to PRMM without too much hassle or everyone having to buy SF.

I thought Karkand had pretty tight streets. The problem is that buildings are comparably small... Its alot of work to make new buildings, but hey that's what mod teams are for ;)

Some new urban maps would be awesome. I totally agree that BF2 is more suited for urban type situations. I've always felt the wide-open areas of the larger maps are just annoying. 70% of my play-time consists of walking, running, or driving somewhere, and the other 30% is actually kicking ***.

I'd like to see some more complex urban cities suited for Little Bird insertions. Like Karkland, but with even more open buildings and tighter streets. It sucks that there aren't any urban maps with helicopters at the moment. I always enjoyed the Urban Siege map in Desert Combat because of the helicopters. I want to soar low through small alleyways and over buildings with a fully-loaded Little Bird...touching down on a roof for a second, then pulling up as my squad spreads out and clears the building.
Things have gone terribly awry.
