how to Detonate mines using C4?
I somehow got the idea that you could remote detonate your mines using C4, if this is correct can someone tell me how cause i cant seem to detonate them.
thanks in advance

ok thanks man...Anyone know if this is hardcoded or would it be possible to implement?
Perhaps it would create some problems if mines where destructible tanks could just destroy them and move on, but it would make the IED game more Real as the RL insurgents often seems to use some sort of non detonated arty shell creating that huge Blast.

na it was with both mines and claymores when EA thought it would be a good idea to stop tks. But all it did was make mines and claymores more or less useless as you couldn't hide mines, and all the tanks did was drive up slowley, see the mine, point there turret, shoot and destory the mine, then move on. where as for claymores all you needed to do was flag a area around a flag and destroy any claymores around it...=HR=Drayu wrote:I believe before a patch by DICE you could do this. We would set up a row of landmines around flag radius and then one c4 hidden, when people got close we would set off the c4 and the rest of the mines.
****EDIT**** NEVERMIND, I am a fool. That was claymores.
But it was a very good trick to use mines as C4, as players didnt think about it and just stood ontop of the mine, could get some really nice chain reactions with them

I do the same to ensure that the tank is taken out and also in the event that I'm taken out while getting clear of the tank the mine is still waiting for them to move - unless their engy comes along in time.hx.bjoffe wrote:Thing is, you place C4 on a Tank and a Mine behind it.
The Blast can make the vehicle move slightly and set off the Mine, if not Panic will.
Anyone know if the opposite happens - will a mine blast also detonate the C4 ?

I sort of use this tactic as sapper/ambusher a lot. I place a mine in the road in such a position that it can be driven around at a choke point of travel...., little does the vehicle driver know that the other side of the gap is C4 which i blow as they try to get around the mine. Ive found 9 times out of ten the blast from the c4 ( if it doesnt take out the vehicle ) moves the vehicle over the mine so i get a double boom

No, unless the C4 is strapped onto the object, which gets killed by an AT mine, then the C4 explodes along with the object.'Guardian[ wrote:B()b;500660']I
Anyone know if the opposite happens - will a mine blast also detonate the C4 ?
Also, in BF2 I managed to place a land mine under a tank, then threw a hand grenade and the AT mine went off killing the tank.
