If you want winter skins for everything, you lot should start putting the effort in to either sourcing skinners or learning the trade yourselves and demonstrating that there's scope for a community project on it!
"That's how it starts, Mas, with that warm happy feeling inside. Pretty soon you're rocking in the corner, a full grown dog addict, wondering where your next St Bernand is coming from..." - IAJTHOMAS "Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post
the Brits just got 2 new sets of skins so it cant be that much of a hassle
Would you like to reskin everything then? Just because the British receieved 2 different skins in PR doesn't mean it's going to be easy reskinning everything...
maybe theres a slim chance a community mod could get to this? (id try myself but last time i tride to do anything with BF2 in terms of modding it jus lead to aggrivation lol)

They're all pretty much at a steady pace... No need to give a slap to the face of the communiy faction developers who already made their work
Example:
Team One:US Forces, British Armed Forces, Canadian Forces, Israeli Defense Forces and Polish Forces
Team Two:Middle Eastern Coalition, People's Liberation Army of China, Insurgents, Militia and Russian Forces
Team One is an enemy of Team Two so Russian Forces and Militia couldn't be enemys.
I think that this would be the arrangement of the forces.
Well an Afghanistan map could have snowy terrain. They get some snow, especially in the mountainous border region. Personally, I'd rather see the devs spending their time on the mod as a whole however. All that skinning= a *****.

Afaik Russia is team 2 and Militia is team 1
And the main enemy of Russia is Militia
A lot of work associated with creating a proper snow environment. It seems especially one of those out of the way things as all you're really doing to adding more visuals to the game.
Seeing as how the devs have their work cut out for them, I imagine the best chance to see snow in the game would be through community support. At the same time though... who wants to make a community project dedicated to snow?
Though it would be nice I suppose. Especially with the Russians coming in now, it might be nice to have a Russian v.s PLA in Siberia. Perhaps more Korea and Northern China based maps as well.
I imagine even before PR starts working on snow, maybe one of the other BSS buddies are up to winter work at the moment? Battlegroup-Frontlines, Northern Conflict, Operation Peacekeeper etc. all seem likely to have interest in snow also.
