Grass elements are great up close....

But do not hide you at all at distance.

Why is this?

Can it be fixed?

yeah...im sure there is a way to make grass render at long ranges.
even ea/dice could have figured this one out. they just didn't want to tho because it was all just 24/7 karkand fever with 50m draw distances.

The auto grass dose not render at range, and in order to replace it you need to manually paint the new grass in. time consuming.

the grass has done that since BFV (not sure bout bf42) its always just shown up up close and never really at a distance. It is very time consuming to add each thing of grass and yes it does cause lag (at least in bfv, I know this because i mapped for bfv so im not sure if it is this way exactly for bf2)
