bright flash when you hit a tank or metal (Tankgun!)

Tankgun firring.

First i will say that i LOVE your game mod! almost never play enything else.
A tankgunner lives by the rule "A bright flash" on the target is a sure observation off a hit!!
When the APDSFS(sabot from a tank or HMG/MK on APC/IFV ) hits a target(Tank or enything else made of metal) it`s makes a very bright flash, almost like a very sharp light pointing at you blinding you for a split sek.It can be seen even through thick smoke.This is a very importent observation for the gunner or the tankcrew, because it means they will live to see another day. Arsk eny gunner!! I have been a tankgunner for 12 years i R/L
Please make this ! I would love it, and remember you in my prayers :razz:

The flash comes from the projektile burning its way through the armor or metal with a speed of about 1480-2000 m/sek leaving the barrel.Twice the speed of and ordinary riffel bullet.

Please give me some feedback!
(sorry for erors in my spelling, but you try writhing in danish then!) :shock:

So add a very large brief white disk to Sabot vs Tank material hit effects.
Good idea and I think it may work.

I like the idea.
Sometimes it's very hard to tell if you hit.

How would it effect local infantry? Would it be like a flahbang going off near them or would they just think "that tank's just been hit, let's get behind cover"?

ADPSFS has no effect on infantry unless you hit the mann, then there will be a hole in him :-P Sabot is made for tank killing only.

Sabot
Sabot rounds work like a basic arrow. They don't have any explosive power; they penetrate armor with shear momentum. The heart of the sabot round is the penetrator -- a narrow metal rod (typically depleted uranium) with a pointed nose on one end and stabilizing fins on the other. Before the round is fired, the rear part of the penetrator is attached to a propellant case, and the front part is attached to the sabot structure. The sabot's purpose is to keep the narrow penetrator centered in the wide gun barrel.

On firing, the propellant casing remains in the chamber, and the expanding gas pushes the sabot and attached penetrator down the barrel. The sabot is attached to the penetrator with relatively flimsy plastic, so it falls away as soon as the round leaves the cannon. The heavy penetrator flies through the air at high speed toward its target tank. Because of its narrow shape, the penetrator focuses its full force into a very small area, plowing straight through heavy armor. As the penetrator enters the tank, heated fragments of metal fly off in all directions, hitting anybody and anything inside.And because of the impact with the armor its heat's evrything up inside, so the tank will burn and the ammunition explode

There must be some tankgunners/or real soldiers or just PR players out there, who knows what i am talking about!/Thinking this is a great improvement.

I think it would make a big big improvement on a great GAME, and it is higly realistic.

But is it just me :cry:

we should also be able to see the sabot case flying off like in Desert Combat. but ya.. very good idea.
