ok so i was reading about sabot and heat rounds for some reason dont know why but i was and i thought about how they both look the same when they hit a tank, and should they one is made of depleted uraminum and the other is High explosive so why would they look the same, the sabot should make a bright flash like suggested in another thread and also sparks and the heat round should make a big fire ball when it hits a tank.
also when a sabot round is fired the sabot that carrys the depleted uraminum round travel very fast and are deadly to troops and can damage light vehicles.
sabot and heat impacts.

Yeah I'd imagine your right. SABOT and HEAT do have slight differences anyway like people have said. On the APC when you switch between SABOT/HEAT, the SABOT rounds hardly explode and make a very quiet, un-sustained sound where as HEAT make a pretty big explosion and a much louder and resonate sound. Well I'm not entirely sure about the sound but the effect is certainly different.
