Thank Goodness for mod teams
I never really appreciated mods all too much before, but after playing the minimod and going to these forums I see the light. First off, I never considered the amount of work needed to be done to create a mod(especially on the scale of this or other major BF2 mods to come); I can't even begin to imagine the time it takes to code new weapons, vehicles, items, etc. But the greatest thing is how personal these mods can be. Project reality is a paragon for this, they went as far as releasing an early version just to get reactions and thoughts out of people. After playing BF2 I am most appreciative to this, it is insanely frustrating to watch not only yourself be ignored, but whole forums of thousands of players that EA doesn't seem to care about. I hate to rant about EA/Dice, but it is amazing how little they seem to do to combat the problems people constantly complain about. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you guys at Project Reality and all those who go out of their way to create great mods to improve upon games(especially those of you who actually care enough to work hard to make your mods truly great by listening to you fans). Keep up the good work guys.

That is a very nice post and I am sure the PR Staff will really appreciate it.
I am barly a regular yet agree with you regarding EA/Dice...
I now play maybe 20 min of battlefield2 a week due to it getting real boring.
Funny thing is... I still play cs1.6...
Teamwork, respect and attitude is what keeps me going on multiplayer and being a member for 3 years in a clan that is based on it is my key to fun...
Unfortunately 95% ranked server are poor.
I will be straight forward, I think there is still so much work left on PR and I cant wait to see the full version

That's what mods are for
When I worked with the Eve Of Destruction for BF1942, I wanted to make a new flight code for the Huey, not to be identical to DC. It took me 2 weeks to get a decent flight code working (well I was working on more things too), mainly due to issues with the collision mesh (its amazing how much the shape influenced flight dynamics).
Then I deleted it and remade it much better from scratch in 2 hours.
So yeah, sometimes easy, sometimes hard
At least BF2 has most of the foundation in place. Come on PR devs, crank out those vehicles, weapons and fancy shiznigs!

Thank you for your kind comments! We have started to get the coding ball working, with arch and paly both now diving into the vehicle coding and slightly straying from the minimod. Hopefully though, one day we will have a sudden transformation to the full PR mod, which im sure, will be fantastic! Be sure to stick around and play the minimod, we are allways open to ideas the community have, seeing as this mod was made for you!
