I don't see how punishing it coercive in any way to stop people being stupid. I could well have the way servers operate wrong, but you have to do a hell of alot of TKing to get kicked or whatever, and the odd punish now and then for a stupid TK isn't going to result in that. I don't really see how kicking people from a server, and not responding to peoples questions as to why they were punished, will curtail retarded gameplay.

Plus there's the whole been there done that thing like someone already mentioned. I'd hope that most of the community haven't got fuckin high school syndrome, where they feel it's necessary to give new people a hard time cos they got one. But I've seen enough of people on the forums, and the game, where they say/do some real moronic stuff, even stuff that never having played PR before should have anything to do with, and then a couple of weeks later tell new people to "STFU n00b" and the like.

Also what happens in accidents such as lag making your full chopper go down, people always seem to punish for stuff like that, and that's something the TKer shouldn't be accountable for at all.

If someone continues to be stupid after being told his game needs to improve, in whatever area, and doesn't really bother to try, then that's pretty much tantamount to an intentional TK though, so I punish for that.

i forgive , take a look at all ur TK's on ur stats before u start saying its easy as "look before you shoot" , if u have 0 tks , then i believe u.

I punish idiots. If we both come around the corner and he fires without thinking, I punish. Regarding the OP, no, I have not been there. I was never smacktarded like that. I was never jumpy.

I hate people that punish when they drive over my mines. Especially on Al-Bas.

Unless clearly intentional, i wait ten seconds, then I punish... a simple sorry is the least you can do. It's a gesture of courtesy. Exceptions are of course if I can see that TK'er is in heavy combat then of course I'll forgive him. Snipers can have trouble spotting friend from foe sometimes, but they're just lying on their anyway...so plenty of time for them to say sorry

^^^yepp if im unsure i wait to see if i get the "sry" and allways i forgive if i get that noo mater how dumb. i have hit my "spotted" to see if enemy or friend & neither the name come up in blue, or the enemy, i just sit there sometimes tryn to decide what it is looking at my minimapp, its kinda hard sometimes.
seems i allways just let go of a nade & someobody runs exactly in direction i throw it, LOL ,like there hungry & its a steak er something. LOL

i quit with engineer the mine cause i allways gett punished when i lay mines, noobs drive in like rambo right up to a flag like dale earnhart & then boom, big punish comes my way. so i jsut stick to rifleman now.

i know some keep close watch on stats at gloryhoundz, but really a punish hurts team, cause thers another killer looking at the "you will respanw in 25minutes" instead of gettin back asap to kill more "hopefully enemies"

but i also understand some peep just dont care if they TK or not, they just like to shoot up the place and punish sometimes is warranted for sure.

Most of the players say they`r sorry, so they don`t get punished. That I can respect and forgive, but what I can`t respect is when players don`t say a darn thing and just walk away. Those are the ones I punish.

Yes I agree completely there, I mean, how hard is it to say sorry?

@ Emnyron, I am not sure if you were there, but once I accidetally took out a full friendly commander truck gunning for MAFiA. That was bad. Although, I didn´t resent it too much, because we got teamkilled twice in the chopper anyway, and it won the weirdest game ever title.

if he doesnt say sry, i definetly punish, in all situations

plus, it just depends how ur feeling sometimes

I blame the SL's for TK's. It's their responsibility that his/her grunts have situation awareness. If there is an entire friendly squad moving in on our hotspot, let us know will ya? Grunts don't usually have the time to check their map when taking fire.

Oh, and what irritates me more than anything is people who let you get ambushed. F.example - You see your fellow squadmember covering one angle, you try to set up postion to cover him again, he WATCHES while you take an entire clip in your face - then fires back at the tango. And does ... nothing.

yepp & last night i felt pissed, LOL, odd this thread, i was playing & i was in my main base, no enemies around & pek pek pek, i though "oh shat friendly noob" so i ran behind some box's tryn to escape so maybe he would realize it was friendly, i seen him running twords me & i remembered someone bitchn about somebody tk'n well i seen he was shooting so i tk him, he punish's allmost before his body hits the ground. ok im laying there bleeding hopin a medic have mercy on me, ididot respawns blows my headoff & disconnects from server

idiots like that , that should be banned.

im pretty sure i got the spelling right "iraqdude" was his in game name , probably somebody who downloaded the mod & cant figure out how to do nothign so gets pissed & just goes on a tk spree before uninstalling.

That`s the truth. I see lot of those around. Either they can`t figure out how to type a message to ask about what they don`t understand, or are to dumb to use the game VOIP.

First time I ever got in the PR server, people in the squad were chocking the VOIP to put me down on what the mod is all about. All you need to do is ask, and a lot of people just hates to loose that second or two of their precious time playing mod they don`t even know how to play. What`s up with that?

i will punish if:

-they dont say sorry or seem to even realize they TK'd...these people deserve to be punished so they can at least recognize that they've TK'd

-someone is shooting at our entire squad and kills a few squadmates over the course of 1-2 minutes.

-someone TK's a vital kit like the H-AT when it's in a perfect position that would take 10+ minutes and the whole squad's effort to get back to. invariably, the enemy vehicles will start rolling by the minute the H-AT is TK'd.

-when i am TK'd on purpose, of course...

with all that said...the people who sit there and complain for 5 minutes about being punished really annoy me. it adds 10 seconds...big freaking deal...

Some guy just run in front (im in a landrover btw) of me just when im about to get out of VCP. And its so narrow, and i was gong so fast, I didnt stop, ran into him, but didnt kill him. He sarted shooting at me and killed me.
What should I do?

made me think of last night, i had a tank, deciding where to go, i get small arms fire like crazy, im at my main base, well come to find out some noob in blue shooting at me, i guess he wanted a ride er something, i asked "why are you shooting at me" he kept tryn to get in the tank & finally gave up, was good for a laugh,but if i hadden been in the tank i'd been dead for sure.

i screw up alot with FF, sometimes ya just fluck up, but guys that are just like i descibed outta be punished & or kicked/banned.

What about this scenario: Fully loaded jeep at main and one guy opens fire at the jeep wanting a ride - killing 2 people in the process.

Do you really think that any of the 4 left in the car will stop and pick you up? Heck no! They'll gun the car full forward in the hopes that you miss the other two in the back.

(Or do as I do, slam the brakes and hit full reverse, running over the guy - Sorry about that)

About a week ago playing EJOD, we were MEC and storming the Ruin from the alleyway that runs North/South on the East side.

My Squad had done well to smash past the defenders and were ready to cap. Then, out of nowhere, a random MEC guy comes charging in (completely unattached to his squad who were doing their thing elsewhere on the map).

With the situational awareness of a carpet slipper this muppet starts spamming our position with 'nades wiping out my entire squad so I kicked him from the server with a message of chastisement.

He then proceeds to come back on, grab an APC and aim it straight at me and another squaddie as we were on the move to Gas Station. Hmmmm......

In such a scenario, I find it nigh on impossible to shrug and say c'est la guerre but more appropriate to say kicked & banned.
