Completely Hypothetical Situation.

Post by DavidP »

Say the Dev's finished PR as a Realism mod set in the Modern times of the Bf2 universe, And they were going to make Another PR but for a different war in the 20th century.

What War do you think would be good in order to get the PR treatment?(Please dont say WW2 as FH2 is almost done) Be serious now!

I'd love to see a Realistic Vietnam or WW1. How about you?

(Please dont lock I know it has been posted before but never fully discussed)

The cold war....

Or the Korean War,
"You know we've had to imagine the war here, and we have imagined that it was being fought by aging men like ourselves. We had forgotten that wars were fought by babies. When I saw those freshly shaved faces, it was a shock "My God, my God?" I said to myself. "It's the Children's Crusade."- Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughter House Five

To me Eod kinda sucks. No players, No servers, No human Interaction, No game.

Lol but the tanks would balance it out as there would be nothing to stop them. Other then another tank or 88 gun.

tanks where hardly used in WW1, and at first they seemed there was no way to take them down, but then the Germans realized that they could take them down and did, they where more scary things than anything else :p

the operation the tanks where used in was the operation where the British took the most ground, then strait after it lost all the ground they took in the entire war in one go.

a medieval battle could be cool if it was really realistic..
you would need a complex system of sword fighting, it would have to take skill to shoot bows, and knights and pikemen and all that good stuff would have to be implemented

but ww2 is the coolest battle there is. plus ww2 weapons are just awesome :p
ww2 on huge scale with gritty arma style realism = awesome

Someone please tell me that the above is irony.

The biafra war.
Where Great Britain and the Soviet union together supported Nigeria (oddly in the height of the cold war 1967) And Israel, France, Rhodesia and South Africa provided support for the Biafran secessionists...and millions ended up starving to death by virtue of the massive food blockade provided by Nigeria's allies and supporters. Nice!

You have fairly modern weapons, odd bedfellows and humanitarian blight. Perfect realism for the stink of war.

Then how about a special game mode/map if the tanks are out of the question? Maybe a city map where the germans have to defend cp's and cant be re-capped? Or a different kind of Aas?
