FlashBANG?

If im not mistaking flashbangs are called so because they make a flash and a really loud BANG. So... Wheres the BANG? When someone throws one in my bunker i can still hear when they come in and shoot them even if i cant see for a secong or two. So what i want is to make ppl unable to hear stuff after get hit by a flashbang.

I do recall sounds being kind of shut-off during the white flash though

Agreed. Flashbangs should be really loud. I mean, the only other things that make your ears ring in this game are people and vehicles firing weapons next to your head. I think the ringing sounds need a volume boost, but not a whole bunch. After all, flashbangs are usually considered 'cheap' weapons in multiplayer games, and making them uber-weapons will make a lot of 'z0mg teh flash iz t3h lame!1' threads start popping up really fast.

they are made to blur or loss site for a short time and knock out or make hearing harder also for a short time. also they need to make the blinding better.

also has smoke and flash thrown at the same time it makes seeing for the enemy impossible
Give me a rule or something and I'll find a way around it or tell you how to make it work

Nah.. You hear your hearbeating and thats about it. I can still hear ppl when they run in the room and be able to kill them before they kill me.

The flashbang is far from effective ATM, I never use it. The blind effect need to be greatly increased for it to be usefull because ATM you can still see the enemy when flashed.

its too weak, make it a bit longer and the ringing should continue after the flash dissapears.

Yeah the ringing seems a little short lived with alot of loud noises in game. I get ringing in my ears after playing a bit of Bass at a gig, I'd hate to think what it must be like to listen to a tank firing a few feet away from you.

To go slightly off topic, I'm still of the opinion that flash bangs should be removed from conventional vs conventional maps.

Anyway, that said, I can definetly see where this idea is coming from so it would be good to see if anything can be done to improve the situation.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

They not really used in those situations then? Seemed a little strange to me as I thought they were only really used in SF, indoorsy kinda situations. Unless you wanna open the top of them, and pour 500 into a bombshell and drop it over an Iraqi town somewhere or other. :p

From what I under stand the filler consists of about 4.5 grams of a pyrotechnic metal-oxidant mix of magnesium and ammonium perchlorate now . basically that means . If one of them goes off in your face ( its ignited ) then . . you will not be able to see - OR hear for some time .

Now , the effects on your eyes are much more limited then your ears , really . .you should have issues hearing for a good 10-30 seconds . I doubt its 5 seconds on Pr . and if it is , gah.

PS : MAGNESIUM MAKES A MASSIVE FLASH ;) MASSIVE

Yeah my friend who's a complete mentalist tried to make a flashbang once with magnesium, needless to say it wasn't SAS quality or anything. He made a very good C02 bomb once though, the fuse went on it pretty much after first lighting, and some moron lit it with about 5mm left, but still has his hand somehow. Echoed off the other side of the valley it was well cool. The smokebomb we made was pretty awesome too, lit it after this gig and smoked out the entire street, THAT was SAS quality. :p

Just look at the AmericasArmy flash grenades. They are pretty good. You can't hear shit for about 30 seconds for sure!
