I suggested that they have the G3 lmg variant but not many were produced and they never really utilized them instead they made the Hk 21 so yeah. Still it would be nice for them to stick with some old soviet gear. (I mean they are using modern russian vehicles and planes)

Although i do have to agree that a PKM would fit in better... Maybe a Pk?

Well,they should get the PKM in my opinion,because most Middle Eastern countires use it! watch those vids. of ISF (Iraqi Security Forces) fighting alongsdie U.S. in Iraq,you'll see what they're carrying.

wtf there are TONNES of footage of the PKM, they seem to like its fast ROF as its perfect for spraying and looking good for the cameras. ive hardle ever seen an RPK in any insurgent videos.

It is very funny to see it but you've got to bare in mind these are ALL propaganda videos (or at least I would think so)...unless they are indeed shooting cats or dogs or indeed nothing.

the first vid looks like genuine combat footage, theres a scene where a guy is blasting his AK away from the corner and round hits the wall just above his head
I love seeing those videos because you know they don't show the part where they're prancing around in the streets acting like they're actually able to call themselves a fighting force able to combat the US military and a F-16 drops a $%#@ing bomb on them.

I too, would like to see the return of the RPK. I don't think it should replace the PKM, but rather add variety to the insurgent arsenal. It has already been modeled, and wouldn't be that difficult to implement in the game. I was thinking that mabe it could be given to the insurgent class, but that might be a balance issue.

As far as the RPK goes, I just don't think it is seen enough to warrant putting it in. Also, realistically, it's no different from an AK. Longer barrel, still generally used with standard AK mags. So you get the same rifle, maybe slightly more accurate. Seems pointless to me.
First of all, it is realistic for the MEC to have the Hk21. Many many middle eastern countries use H and K weapons. They probably have some PKMs but dont assume they use russian equipment just cause they are arab.
Also whoever made that "Jihad that Achmed" comment is a dumbass and it makes you look really stupid especially since A. The statement makes no sense and is pretty much insulting Muslims. And B. "Achmed" isnt a name. If you mean Ahmed or Ahmad, then it is a name but i see no reason adding a "K" sound. LOL ignorance.
Their fervor amazes me. How many American soldiers scream "GOD IS GREAT! GOD IS GREAT! GOD IS GREAT!" while under heavy fire? There may be obscenities and the occasional prayer, but nothing like the piety these people display. I may not agree with their cause or the means they employ to see that cause through to the bitter end, but I do respect their dedication.
Anyway, for a "reality mod", it is ironic that the MEC doesn't even exist. That's fine, and if the MEC did exist (presumably including the Middle East oil empires), they'd have plenty of money to outfit their fighting force with Heckler and Koch weaponry.

Yeah I vote for the RPD, its extremely reliable and the lightest belt fed ever produced to date If I remember correctly.
Uses the M43 ball so ammo is no problem, and they are most deffinatly used regularly by insurgents IRL, especialy in Afghanistan. I know of some Canadian soldiers who use captured ones and they cut down the barrel and gas cylinder.
They use them for a Truck gun, and love them.

As for H&K 21E - honesly I have so say that it would be more reasonable to have MG3 instead. It is almost as whide spread as PK\PKM and overall is just a kickass weapon

Don't quite agree with you. The MEC team is a conventional army. They don't scavenge off the street. They would go straight to the manufactures and buy bulk. They already use the G3A3, the HK53A3, the HK21E and will be using the HK79 UGL and possibly the G3SG/1. Notice a trend? They are all H&K weapons. I don't see them getting a competitor's weapon when they could get potentially cheaper weapons from someone they already are partnered with.
