removing blue horde from maps

The thing is, you always have jumpy players that dont remember the factions uniform. And still, from affar, how could you recognize an ennemy squad from a friendly.

So I like the current system. (even if in reality, you dont have a floating blue name above your head)

Think there is alot of TKs now? There would be...more to do with the longer ranges, where you can´t tell as easily...

Still like the remove minimap idea more.

Alright, I really like your idea, but instead of taking off all the blue guys, lets just leave the squad leaders and the commander. But remove all the lesser soldiers.
(maybe leave the vehicules)

How about we remove the icons of the soldiers from the map period?

i think the minimap should only be used for naviagating, not for finding out where the sniper is.

hmm i dont think this will achieve anything but more tks although this is a project reality mod it cant be completely real because you are not really there, hence it being called PROJECT reality and not THE reality mod, certain things need to be left to improve gameplay otherwise the reality of it would suck

That's a good alternative imo.

And it kinda reflects reality too. Because a commander is not going to know where every soldier, is but he should know where his NCOs are.

I'd like to see Jonny's idea implemented. But this idea requires a small Commo-rose change. The DEV's would have to add a "Friendly" oder "Cease Fire" shout.

Well, just to add a hint of lime to it all. How about this, levels of awareness.

Commander:
Can see all friendlies.

Squad Leader:
Can see own squad and all Squad Leaders

Average Joe:
Can see all squadmates.

What's achieved?
You add the need for a little bit higher coordination. Your squad leader will have more control at who and what is being engaged and it reflects the situation as it probably is. The CO knows the most and hands down info to his underlings. The SL knows where his colleagues are, but not what their squad is doing. Finally, as a lone soldier, you know what your SL tells you. This kinda makes sticking with your SL essential and solves a few problems I've read being kicked around.
