Host PR on xfire?

Post by casemods »

Is that a possibility? Xfire uses P2P so no downloads would be corrupt (just like torrents) but more gamers would go on xfire and it's a lot easier.

Please let me know the current situation on this (or as much as you can publicly announce)

PM me and I will not release any information to anybody, or for that matter, will deny any knowledge of any information.

I'll create a thread on the xfire forums to see what their current situation is on hosting PR.

I don't see why you think it doesn't need a poll.

I just wanted to get peoples opinion, but since you think it's a good idea there is no need to gain motivation.

well if a public vote is not going to influence the mind of the devs then there is no need. I can tell you now that ~80% of thous votes would be yes, ~15% would be dont care, and ~5% would be no, with no cos ppl dont like xfire, and ~15% cos they dont need to download from there but dont see a reason why not, and ~80% yes cos more is better and most ppl have xfire.

looking at that link, I cant see any BF2 mods in there? can see some BFV mods and HL2, but no BF2. Only thing I can find related to BF2 / 2142 is new server files and patches... Also it dont look to have been updated in some time, 5 months since its last update, and the hottests real mod I can see has only had 7,800 downloads of it...

May still be worth looking into thou, for .7
