Insurgency Mode Question

Post by brans »

Hi everyone, just started playing PR about a week ago, and have a question about the insurgency mode. I apologize if this has been asked before, but I checked the guide and the wiki and didn't see the answer.

I know that if you are playing as a civilian and get shot and killed by the Brits it doesn't count towards your death total, and that the player is punished for shooting you. However, does he have to kill you outright? For example, if I am running around as a civilian and get shot enough to start bleeding, if I hide in a corner somewhere and just wait to bleed out, will it still count as being killed by the Brit player (with the associated penalties)? Even if it takes a couple of minutes to finally die?

Thanks.

It should do, logically speaking and all that.

When you die, it tends to be associated with the last person who sort of inflicted 'pain' on you, like.

Haha, good question, I've encountered this once but can't give a definitive answer. Basically, I was bleeding myself out, but when I died I had the 60 sec spawn timer instead of the 20 sec one when you are killed by a British soldier. I also believe this might have something to do with the fact that when you bleed out, the kill isnt counted for the opposing team but just as a death for you. (not 100% sure if this is the case in PR)

I tested this theory by shooting a couple of civis in the leg and when they died I did not get a negative score and my spawntime was not affected. I also did not get a credit for the kill so I guess the civi just "dies" and it's nobody's fault.

However, would this count as a bug or exploit?

@Op This is why i put 2 .223 rounds(or 1 .308/.50) in the civi's chest, Wait for him to patch himself up, Repeat until he runs out of Field dressings, And go back to my cache hunting duties.

Also if i do get the chance i throw a frag nade near him, Close enough to damage him far enough to keep him alive.

Should be fixed, i'd count it as bug. It's not the point of that ROE-Thingy to torture civilians instead of killing them.

Okay, thanks for the replies everybody. Sounds like I'm better off hiding and patching myself up then.
