kicked for negative score??? ?

Ok This is weird.

This has happened to me on two occasions so far...

Once I was in repair truck, next to my mate and repairing his tank. Next minute I got shot by a tank or anti-tank from behind. I blow up (my mates tank is STILL alive, clearly visible on screen). LITERALLY a second after I got blown up (killed), I got kicked from the server for having a negative score

The second time this happened to me was when I was in a brittish transport chopper hovering above a certain point on the map (As instructed by my sqaud leader). There were no friendlies near me and I get locked on by AA then blown up. Again, LITERALLY a second after I got blown up (killed), I got kicked from the server for having a negative score

Both occasions I had not teamkilled the whole round...So why the hell and how the hell did I manage to get kicked for having a negative score?

It's probably a 'loop hole' in the way the scoring system works. Maybe this is better off posted in the suggestions/bugs bit, so the DEVs can look into it

When you lose vehicles ( like the helo ) and you have 0 points, you go to a negative score - I believe somewhere in the .613 patch notes, or somewhere....

a dev said for admins to raise the amount of negative points a player could get before getting kicked.

Now its like... oh you used a jihad car in basrah as your first choice of attack?
KICK FOR NEG SCORE!

You lost a helo transporting? KICK FOR NEG SCORE

Accidental FF KICK FOR NEG SCORE

because the new scoring system means MORE neg score, and the kick rules are based off having LESS negative points.

its a PR problem , they added a lot of negative points for be in the wrong plase at the wrong time , last week i just joined a server , spawn at a APC , the APC was destroyed half second latter and i was kiked one second lattr for negative score ...

Blame the server admins, -50 should be a kick, -10 should not.

Nah negative points are needed otherwise if you teamkill someone you wont be punished by getting negative points or you drive the APC right into the enemy base and lose a valuabel spawn point..negative score stops deuce players in doing this.

I agree that negative points are necessary, but I don't think you should get them just for sitting in a vehicle when it gets destroyed. If you aren't the driver or the gunner, how is it your fault?

Well, I think that the negative points are OK.
We need to get the server admins to adapt to this and raise the negative points kick value.

The weird thing is:

Destroy a valuable asset = -20 ~ -40
Teamkill = -8

Teamkilling should be like -40 or -50 IMO

Well, don't forget that teamkilled soldier will respawn in 30 seconds, unlike crashed airplane

Sigh..yawn...sob. (I feel your pain). Welcome to PR. Learn by bleeding. You will come to recognize the cool and awesome servers (the ones that DONT kick for a neg score), and the lame servers that do kick for a neg score. Those servers I guess think its unrealistic to be in a vehicle that blows up. SO they kick you. LAME

You got lucky..the time I bitched about it, many of the community called me a whiner..Ok..so what..I am. Anyway, best to just avoid those servers. I wont name names..(this is not the place), but we all know which servers have that lame setting.

*Sigh* - Spawn in an APC. APC drives straight towards a hostile tank. Tank<APC = ... WTF? I get kicked for negative score?

2 minutes later. Spawn in at main. Get in car, fellow squaddie driving. Car drives in the river. Vodnik>Water. Kicked for negative score.

Claudius looks for another server.

Happened to me once too. It Any server that kicks for -20 is retarded, and server that only kicks for -270 is also retarded

Basically I make sure I get a lot of points BEFORE I start team killing everyone.
