I dont know what your really asking. If your asking why I dont just use BF2s model, it would be because 1: its illegal to steal it, 2: it has more inaccuracies then mine, and 3: I cant modify it. Compare for yourself.'[T wrote:BludShoT;521728']What about the SCAR that is already in BF2? What's the difference between that and this (when this is done).

wait wtf. you guys can use the scarl from bf2(dont have to though as a modable model works just fine) and since you guys are using sf stuff . dont see why the scarh wont do either(scarl is in the 1.41bf2vanilla patch anyway) but any how good work on the moddable scar model=)

Well it wouldn't be any more illegal than a bunch of other stuff PR uses. It's a decently good gun, so, I know I wouldn't spend the time to make one marginally better, instead I would model something else that isn't in the game at all. But I'm not really knocking your model or your decision to want to make one, I understand it's like a fun project, and you could end up making something nicer than the SF one, so why not.'[R-MOD wrote:Dylan;521737']I dont know what your really asking. Yeah, I might make a SCAR-H, only since it wouldnt require much editing. Though I think some of you missed my point in my last post, I only want to do this because I have planned on possibly replacing the "SCAR" (and FY71) in Crysis (which is why I stated it would be illegal to steal and use). And I may do multiple skins for it (black, tan). I have actually got my uvs done, but as I have little practice in skinning, I expect this to be the more difficult part in the process.
And Irontaxi, where are those pics I was asking for?

No sarcasm intended.[R-MOD]Dylan wrote:Never said it was ugly either. I would rather have a more realistic version of the said "SCAR" in Crysis. That is why I made it. Its more constructive then the usual "the SCAR in crysis is so ghey, someone should make a new one." You should know what I mean, your a DEV.And do I smell a bit of sarcasm in your post?
I think you're going on the right track

Alright. You were right, my mindset was that the model didnt need that detail because I thought it would work similar to bf2. Thanks for the feedback.
Updated the model. However, since the previous stock was attached it was part of the uvs. Now the textures need to be redone.

Well, first of all, damn good model. Though much has changed since the prototype. And I think you must have had an itchy trigger finger.
The stock is the most noticable difference, so comparing an up to date version with the prototype makes the point moot.
Edit: Can you post wires and a poly/tri count for that? Just curious and want to compare.
Here are some refs I went off.

This seems to be like a reference you would have been using.
