Theres alot of driver settings you set to performance or quality, for me they are all on performance. I just want it be fluid and the card is still struggling in a smokey firefight , thats why I say I would need twice as much processing power to get it perfect, turning on every single option is a massive drain.

I know some guys are using 8800GTX just to play PR which is slightly ridiculous considering 6800ultra was the best card at the time of the games release

Check out this guy, high res to him is 5700x1080. A gtx isnt fast enough

I 100% agree.

I have been playing the COD4 demo and going from that to PR is like night and day.

PR/BF2 graphics are dated. I play for the gameplay now not the visuals like i do with COD4.

Can anyone gimmie some recommendations for a Motherboard, DX10 Graphics card and some RAM, and where to get them without purging my finances too much. I'd say I can spend at the most around about 300-400ish, I'd consider maybe a little more.

I have a AMD 3500+, 2Gb Ram + 8600GT. If i want my fps to stay above 25FPS then my graphics for street must be all on Average + 4x AA...

The soldiers in COD4 really look bad. The lines around them are so ugly...

I think those COD4 soldiers have those lines because of his AA/AF?

COD4/Crysis all look worse than ArmA!

Find me a pic of the iron sights of the AK47 in ArmA and i will puke after 0.2 sec after looking at the arm. God ArmA is ugly!

Nope, just did some color correction.

Btw I think the thing that is slowing your PC down is your video card.

So, going to share your colour profile? :p

I think the problem with alot of modern games is they try to look very Hollywood, so It's not so much a problem with the engines, just the way they are utilised. If if the PR team got their hands on any of those engines I'm sure they'd manage to tone down so they don't look so stupid.

There isnt really a certain profile anymore because the new NVidia driver behaves strange for me.. I do it by hand everytime I play.

My guess at the AK pic: post processing at max (blur effects), medium terrain, view distance ~2km

I find PR really laggy I care for perform more over graphics.
If you don’t get lag can you tell me witch driver you use and other things.
It strange I find 2142 looks better and is way smoother then BF2.
