Ok, I play my settings on low, 100% distance. However, i was playing EJOD today and from a bit away i saw a guy looking streight at me just over a ridge so of course i use my scope to get a better look. Magically a hill appears where there was none. In further investigation I walked closer and the terrain just rose from the ground. This must be a BF2 engine problem, but anyway to fix it?

I'll get pics next time.

Terrain's Level of Detail.

Further you go, the less renders and peaks and small dunes start to disappear and people behind them appear floating in the air.

Welcome to the Bf2 engine :roll:

you only just realized about this? Its called the terrain LOD, it changes detail as you get clower/away from it to save on memory. This is a side effect and there is not much we can do about it. locked.
