wow.. an excellent mod or two
PR is by far the best mod I have ever played. I have been fighting exclusively in Al Basrah for two weeks! So I decided I need to travel the virtual world and I downloaded NAW(nations at war) another mod for bf2. I was surprised to see the map content.. 120maps and counting. I will never leave PR, but NAW is pretty good and is worth a mention.
it's here: http://www.nawmod.com/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=77
Also black Sand Studios just released US intervention early beta and already has a growing community. It's got some great new features over vanilla BF and even some things that PR is lacking... check it you'll see: http://usi.blacksandstudio.com/

So, smartalek, would you perhaps be a long term member within the NAW community?
I ask this question as any cross mod advertising should really be done as exchange between the Mod's staff at an official level rather than coming in and making your first post a link to take people away from a mod, suggesting PR gamers don't know about other mods (of course we do, everytime a new build comes out we instantly discuss the gameplay as compared to PR)
If you do represent the NAW gaming community, you might as well point it out here, rather than be found out later and becoming an issue.

who cares, really? Its only good that all players try all the mods to keep the mod community going. I have donated MC1 to the N@W mod to help them out too. In the end N@W is not a "competitor" too pr, nor is any other BF2 mod really cos our game play is vastly diffrent from all other mods. I say its only good that ppl give other mods like N@W a try and then decide which mod they like best.

Yes, we do not have to persuade our members to stay with PR, we let the gaming style do that.
In fact we are freely promoting the use of Modjive for beginners to the mod scene to easily find the majority of all mods within the tool.
The creators in the Sir Community have produced that tool that helps the modding community numbers as a whole and we have to continue to thank them for it! (Some people unfortunately unable to use the web to download individual mods for numerous reasons (including the very basic "too much text, got a headache, I prefer mens/motorbike/fishing magazines with more pictures to text ratio")

me again
I agree.. and like I said earlier.. nothing compares to PR for realism. The changes made with respect to spawn points and rally points, kit requests etc make this game the best by all means especially for those of us who like teamwork.
I am in no way affiliated with NAW. What about USI the other mod I mentioned? I must be working for them too..Black Sand good god... lighten up you dweebs and explore the mod community.. I did and was only doing a courtesy to mod makers and mod players by passing it along. Any idiot who thinks I'm a long time member of the NAW community should read again that I just downloaded it and tried it. I have been playing PR since the VCP was a gas station and I still love it.
I'm off to post accolades about PR on the NAW forums to negate forum karma.

y'all act like this is an argument. yes pr is the best by far. as i have said. repeatedly. But try US Intervention and you'll see some elemnts that PR is missing.
