No, they get issued feet and told to quit whining and to use the legs god gave 'em :D

Well i read in that siege of doboj map thread that jones was going to do a tiger stripe skin instead of acu in woodland maps https://www.realitymod.com/forum/wip-si ... 086p2.html

Of course. But the gun handling is going to be one of the bigger changes. A new tank is nice, but a working gun is better.

Do they actually use that IRL? Haven't seen that before it looks like some cheap country camo from WW2. If this is PR then US Army should use what the use IRL and not some random camo

No one has done that because this is BF2's engine haha :)

I assume youre talking rifle ballistics? The best the team can do is get close enough with the way BF2 does drop, which is constant, and non accelerating iirc.

US SF used to use it (back in the day when the M16 was still cool and had triangular foregrips and the carbines were still commandos and the M4 was nothing more than a coming nightmare.). Not current issue, definetly not to regulars.

ACU, according to the US Army, is a universal camoflauge suitable for all environments. Thus they should be using it in jungle/woodland maps.

Thus I look foreward to the coming turkey shoot which will be playing against them.

It is, however, still used by a number of other nations and when the USMC held the trials for the adoption of MARPAT, Tiger Stripe style cammo was found to be the 2nd best after digital.

I believe the RoC armed forces use it and so you can expect to see them wearing on Griffon2-6's Taipei map. Also some units in the FFL, partiularly those deployed in French Guyana.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I wasn´t talking about balistics, only that the M16 has problems at the moment (read: air rifle).

As for gravity, If I read correctly it is about 12 m/s?

In real life it is normally 9.81 m/s. Wouldn´t that make the gravity to high?

Fail. PLA maps are awesome. I don't know what on earth you're smoking. I prefer woodland maps over desert ones any day.

As for the gravity in PR, it's useful to remember that BF2 meters are not to scale.

Well since you cannot say "a mountain is a mound of earth that is approximately 100m high", but you can say "a person is approximately 2m high", there is really no such things as "to scale according to the terrain", is there?

Jonny wrote:WRONG!

Nedlands and me have demonstrated a parabolic trajectory in the engine, it is very obvious at low speeds.

The drag is related to either velocity or the square of the velocity, I havent been able to find out which yet, the equations are very complex.

ATM the gravity is WAY to low, and the drag effect has been ommitted.
Then hurry your @$$ up and get it working so we dont have the bf2 standard line that is just angled down for a bullets path anymore! ;) :)

I think the problem is that changing gravity affects the player as well and with a higher gravity, the player starts to take fall damage while standing still (kinda like being compressed to death)

But, if you can get around that and only have it have an effect on bullets, sweet deal :)

I dont know quite what you are saying but... if you can get drag in, great... but yeah, if you can get it in and working, go for it, because right now, bullets follow a line going downwards afaik
