well, this is a realism mod and i dont think humvees can actually mount them.
they were used in vietnam on trucks so if your that desperate for it just get Eve of destruction mod when it comes out. im pretty sure theyll include it

Retreating?! Hell no, we're just attacking the other direction!

only the americans

The Quad-50 and ZPU-4 were designed primarily as anti-aircraft weapons and for that purpose it is good to have such a high volume of fire. The Quad-50 was replaced in US service by the towed and self-propelled Vulcan 20mm rotary cannon, which has now also been retired (at least in the ground role). The ZPU-4 was a serious threat to US helicopters in Vietnam and because of its 14.5mm KPV round it still is a contender among anti-aircraft machineguns.
They and the AC-130s may look ridiculous, but their effects are anything but.
BTW, the AC-130 mounts two 20mm or one 25mm rotary cannons, not miniguns. Miniguns fire machinegun rounds and the first of them were developed from rotary cannons. So, it could be said that miniguns are small rotary cannons, but rotary cannons are not "huge miniguns."

thats nothing. How about the 1,000,000 rounds per minute defence system that was tested in the UK.

That's freakin badass. I want one behind my front door for those pesky kids always asking for money so they can go to some damn amusement park, to keep kids off the streets. Bah, they're off the streets all right... they're at my freakin front door... I say, Do like your forefathers did when they wanted to go to Magic Mountain... Get a job, son! LOL.

That was actually an Anti-Air weapon used in WW2. It is called the M16, and was actually just an M3 Half-Track with that carried that Quad .50 instead of troops.RATMAN250 wrote:Could we mount a quad 50cal these on a humvee?? LOL

Dont bash the AC-130 Spectre gunship. It is simply the best close support aircraft in the world.jezzzy wrote:that guns rediculous, how is it always the americans which come up with ideas like that, and mounthing howizers and giant miniguns on hercules transport planes.

Don't you all thing we're going a little off topic here? To remind you of what it was originally about:

If you're all really keen on discussing the coolest kinds of equipment, fine, but then I'll move this thread for you.RATMAN250 wrote:Could we mount a quad 50cal these on a humvee?? LOL

I'm sorry, but as long as this hasn't been moved I have to mention some equipment I saw.'[R-PUB wrote:Wolfmaster']Don't you all thing we're going a little off topic here? To remind you of what it was originally about:

Rather than gunpowder the defense system I saw was a railgun so it used magnets to propel it's bullets. It was similar in shape, but it had many more barrels(basically a large box with as many holes put in it as possible). I think it could fire over a million bullets a minute, not that it could hold that much. I believe I saw it on the history channel or one of the many discovery channels.
